Don't get me wrong, it's a great game. I just think the sequel to Baldur's Gate 2 could have been better without everyone worrying about whether or not they could &#$%! the druid in bear form, etc.

A beautifully crafted world, really. It's a bit melancholic, since it feels like you're picking up the pieces at best - or grounding them underfoot. "Evil wins" has never been done so well.

TENTATIVE recommendation. It lost a lot of the flavor I liked in the first, but I see what they were going for. If you liked 1, give it a shot when it's on sale.

Absolutely the best example of 'extra cheese' done right, in my opinion. This game is all the boxing and karate tropes of the 80s and 90s in one lovable SNES-like package, but without the limitations

At first glance this game seems to be pretty complex. I'm going to have to give it a positive review, since it scratches a lot of itches for me: post-apoc, survival simulation, and retro graphics.

Now THIS is a true classic. Thank goodness I wasn't keeping hours on the X-Box like Steam does or I might genuinely be ashamed... But get over the dated graphics and janky mechanics and try it.

I really, really wanted to like this one. I tried very hard, but the dungeons were so repetitive and bland, the art repetitive (and in the case of inn fireplaces maybe even stolen).. Not my jam.

This had everything I could have wanted going for it. I even jumped in and backed it way early on to make it a reality. I was pretty crushed when it seemingly became abandonware.

It feels weird to call this a classic, but to me it still is. Never much cared for sailing games, but this one won my heart for the whole genre because of its deep and mysterious nigh Lovecraftianism

From the people who brought us Cultist Sim. This one's super deep compared to their other games, imho. Maybe too complex for me, but I'm going to keep trying. May be too much for others, though.
