This HL mod is still being updated regularly, aged surprisingly well, and is free! Has a authentic early 2000's FPS feel. Just enough content to keep things going. Active line battle community. 6/10.

Insurgency sandstorm is a hardcore fps that builds upon its successful predecessor in all the right ways. Superior customization. More of a Tactical fps, not a quake "run and gun" shooter. 9/10

What makes this game so enjoyable is not the mechanics, its not the maps, or the level of detail. Its the way a hilarious community of players interact with those things. 10/10 worth every penny.
