A definitive revival of a classic fighting game. In many ways, Killer Instinct still upholds a bar of quality that every other game in the genre should strive for.

It's still uncertain if KoFXV truly fixed its matchmaking problem, but when it comes to pure gameplay, it's easily one of the best games in the series. Easy to pick up, yet hard to master.

Strive made massive changes compared to its predecessors, becoming much more accessible in the process. While its online elements could be better, it stands as a fun and beginner-friendly fighter.

Type Lumina took Melty Blood into the modern age with its rollback, low barrier of entry, and a well crafted story for fans of the setting. All while making DLC characters completely free.

DBFZ is a love letter to its source material, and one of the early ArcSys marvels, showcasing their talent in creating the illusion of stylized 2D animation with 3D models. A must-have for any DB fan.

The lack of rollback netcode holds back an otherwise excellent entry into the series. Although, any fans of story and customization can still find dozens of hours of fun in SoulCalibur VI.

A true indie gem of a fighting game. Outside of having every QoL feature that a fighting game player might want, it also features a complex tag fighter system that encourages creativity and skill.

Worthy continuation of a long-running series. Tekken 7 focuses on the combat first and foremost, delivering as much depth as its predecessors, but in a much more approachable way.
