Not an immersive sim in the slightest, and frankly not even playable as-is. It just has some many insane, sparsely used mechanics it occasionally gets mistaken for one.

Intense, grungy, and a slam dunk of a spooky experience. SOotH has plenty of Imsim elements that let you get pretty creative with how you dodge that big dude who kidnapped you.

Probably the best Alien game we're ever going to get, but not really an immersive sim despite often being mistaken for one. It has some things *reminiscent* of an ImSim, but it's not quite there.

The amount of player freedom and emergent gameplay on display here makes what's already a great game in one of the best horror series in modern gaming an ImSim powerhouse.

Very much in the vein of stack boxes, find codes. Ad Infernum is a fun little immersive sim that uses modern horror elements to create a fun, fast game with tons of replayability.

Nothing about this is an immersive sim despite it being made by Arkane. Frankly, nothing about this is even Arkane by it's design: it's off-brand Borderlands.

Not just a progenitor of the immersive sim, but a through-and-through classic. The controls are intimidating at first but You'll be more than fine by the end of the first level.

Not really an Immersive Sim in the strictest of senses, but has enough player freedom and sneakies to where you won't mind that you can't stack boxes.
