Creepy world design, simple puzzles and a very nasty holiday make for a down right creepy experience. Translation is rough though so you will likely miss out on some of the story.

I was so let down here... The idea of Kowloon is a perfect horror story, but rather than focus on narrative they leaned into bad audio jump scares. So much potential wasted. Save your money here.

A bit loose on the narrative, but overall a really nice haunted house layout. The enemy, while ever present, doesn't provide much of a threat and even helps sometimes. I enjoyed did enjoy it though.

This game made my heart hurt. The controls are a bit wonky but the story is an interesting one. Its rare you get to see life through the eyes of a child. Might be worth your time.

Lazaret is inspired by games like Resident Evil and Man of Medan. It does a beautiful job at providing creepy environments and lightning, but is a bit heavy handed on the audio. Overall good indie!

Days Gone wasn't given the proper due it deserves. While I don't love the semi-open world mechanics it strives for, it more than makes up for it in story and one of the best zombie mechanics ever.

In terms of story telling, none may potentially do it better than God of War. From its staggeringly beautiful graphics to the genuinely funny dialog, this game is a clear 10/10 must own.

I wanted to love Faith after the trailer, but sadly that dream never took hold. Graphically very interesting, but the story fell flat to slow and out dated game play.

Outer Wilds is a special game. One of those games that comes along every decade or so and does something truly unique for the gaming industry. Take your time, because the journey is the best part.

This indie cosmic horror came out of no where and showed the rest of the survival horror genre how it was done. Easily one of the best games of 2023. No part 2 required. What a great set of endings!
