This is a RANGE. Devil May Cry 1 is the second best game in the franchise but it's pretty different, Devil May Cry 3 is fun, and one of the best DMC stories. DMC 2 is lorewise irrelevant and unfun.

One of the funniest games I've played, with interesting combat, but also complete pacifist playthroughs are possible. There is so much to do, there's a ton of replay-ability

SUPERHOT is the most innovative shooter I've played in years

Superhot, yes, but MORE. The new elements that MCD adds to Superhot really makes the game just absolutely sing.

Simply stunning, from an audio/visual perspective. It improves on the first game in gameplay, though I do feel that this gets in the way of what made the first game special. Overall, excellent.

This game is beautiful in visual, auditory, and narrative ways. I genuinely think it's doing something pretty special in the genre, in my opinion, it's a must play, no question about it.

This game is very challenging, but deeply stylish, stuffed with deep strategy and fun, twitchy gameplay. The Assist Mode that lets you independently adjust Game Speed and damage received is perfect.

Top Shelf in terms of co-op action roguelite. Lots of ongoing progression, tons of customization, and lots of the great emergent synergy that typifies the genre at its best.

In the recent action Roguelike/mystery dungeon boom, Going Under is one of the most stylish and thematically tight games I've seen, with lots of room for finding synergy and a personal playstyle.

Without question, DMC5 is the standout best title in the overall franchise. Prior experience with the franchise is not necessary to enjoy 5.
