One of the good homages to linear Castlevania! Great NES-style pixel art & fantastic music, good controls & thoughtful !evel design. Yet, it's a rather easy game once you know the clean boss patterns.

Released in 1988 & today Toaplan's most famous game. A masterpiece with an extremely influential art style, but still special in its overall game flow, e.g. with its numerous sets of brutal midbosses.

Toaplan's Commando-style push-scroller from 1990. Despite being one of the devs' most ambitious and best games, it has never received a home port before. Bitwave's port works great & and has 2P Co-Op.

The 2nd of only 2 Toaplan hori shmups, both from 1989. Greatly designed stages & enemies, an unique tractor beam weapon, Co-Op & amazing BGM! Unfortunately, Bitwave's release lacks the famous MD port.

An indie rail shooter primarily inspired by the fast-paced gameplay of Sega's After Burner (1987) & caravan shumps. The great controls, well-designed stages & fantastic music make it a joy to play!

A good foundation of a Star Fox-like rail shooter, but the stage & enemy design is rather experimental, not especially fleshed out. The game doesn't feel very different from the included mini-games.

A Star Fox 64 inspired rail shooter with varporwave aesthetics & great level environments. However, enemy visibility issues & the game/genre's flow gets overly destroyed by a bullet time mechanic.

A primarily WipEout (PS1, 1995) inspired racer with great controls & vaporwave aesthetics. However, from F-Zero it has the lack of weapons, the shared-boost/shield mechanic & the boost pad chaining.

A fantastic mix of Ridge Racer Type 4 (PS1, 1998), Initial D-style touge racing & vaporwave aesthetics. What's unique but unintuitive: its twin-stick controls. The right stick controls the drift arc.

With its graphics, sound & music, DDI Rally amazingly replicates the feel of Sega AM2's arcade masterpiece Sega Rally (1994). The controls & physics are also good, but less forgiving & more realistic.
