A well-done action platformer in the vein of Irem's Ninja Spirit (1988) & Treasure's Alien Soldier (1995). From both it has the weapon switching (7), from the latter its focus on boss fights (20).

A MD & esp. Treasure-inspired platformer with great sound, likeable characters & gameplay ideas. Yet, the execution (level & boss design) is pretty weak. Besides, only getting S ranks is challenging.

Exceptionally great Mega Man-like that stands out by taking in a grappling hook, Sp. attacks like Super Smash Bros. (N64, 1999) & tossing like Mischief Makers (N64, 1997). Excellent level/boss design!

Good homage to Compile's The Guardian Legend (NES, 1988). Both combine multidirecitonal shooter (on foot) & vertical shooter (flying) sections. However, Astrolancer is much more linear & bullet hell.

Port of the original Wii multidirectional shooter from 2007. It was supposed to be a Pocky&Rocky game until the dev lost the license from Taito. It's decent, but clearly a budget title. 2P Co-Op.

Beautifully remastered & highly remixed version of the multidirectional 2P Co-Op shooter Pocky & Rocky (SNES, 1992). Once again, Tengo Project has done a great job of reviving a Natsume SNES classic!

An amazing inofficial sequel to Konami's MSX masterpiece The Maze of Galious (1987). The Steam version is a faithful port of the original MSX2 release from 2023 that now features local & online Co-Op.

The successor of Demons of Asteborg. An emulated MD action platformer from 2023 with great art, but unbalanced modern game design: roguelite & OP dodge rolls. Both make the action flat & too easy.

A well-made NES styled metroidvania that shines with its Mega Man-like gameplay & the fun set of moves/attacks spread across multiple characters. Secrets are everywhere & ensure constant progress.

One of the good homages to linear Castlevania! Great NES-style pixel art & fantastic music, good controls & thoughtful !evel design. Yet, it's a rather easy game once you know the clean boss patterns.
