Metroidvania fans will enjoy Gestalt, as it sticks close to the tried-and-true formula (sometimes to its detriment). It is on the shorter side (around 6 hrs), but that may suit newcomers to the genre.

Princess Maker 2 Regeneration offers the best way to experience a Japanese retro classic. The game is faithful to its roots, which may make it feel dated in places, but it remains worthwhile to play.

Angelstruck offers an arcade style experience with a splash of roguelike flavour and a lot of charisma. The gameplay is sharp and snappy, the presentation is excellent and the price is very appealing.

Chained Echoes blends retro flavour and modern design to create a compelling and content-rich adventure. Combat is well balanced throughout and the story is great, too. Among the best modern RPGs.

Impaler effectively dilutes frenetic ‘boomer shooter’ gameplay into a short and sweet rogue-like experience. Main drawback is lack of content, but the core is solid as a rock. Worth checking out!

While it's not perfect, The Knight Witch brings together a unique blend of genres into a polished and very enjoyable game. The game's high difficulty might be off-putting to some, though.

RWBY: Arrowfell is a solid 6 hours of side-scrolling action, but definitely a game that's intended for fans. Newcomers might want to look for a different jumping-on point, but can still enjoy it.

Sunday Gold offers a blend of point-and-click exploration, JRPG style turn-based combat and outstanding comic-book presentation in a nice, tidy package. Worth checking out.

It has some rough edges, but Asterigos is undeniably a high effort production. It’s fun to play, it looks and sounds lovely, and the writing is very enjoyable. Definitely worth taking a look at.

A solid action rogue-lite with chunky, appealing pixel art and catchy tunes. Doesn't do much to break conventions and is a bit short on content variety, but still a good time. Has couch co-op.
