Highly replayable roguelike game with a nice atmosphere. You'll have to die repeatedly to get used to the mechanics but that's the point and the game has a lot of charm. Definitely recommended !

This action platformer has great pixel art graphics and revolves around changing the seasons (ala Oracle of seasons) in order to change the levels. Very fun and awesome to look at, too.

DreadStar is a retro styled shoot'em'up mixed with RPG and hack'n'slash influences. The boss fights look awesome and the game has lots of potential. Fans of customization and optimization will love it

This anthropomorphic adventure is a highly ancipated one. Highly atmospheric, refined visuals and great tone set it apart. Sadly delayed to 2021 but you can check out the 'prologue' demo available.

Here is another upcoming Shinobi style game. This one has really great artstyle and looks pretty fun and well polished. Keep an eye on that one if you like action Shinobi/Metroidvania gameplay.

The Last Night might have started out small by having a prototype made for a game jam but this is probably one of the most anticipated releases of a pixel art game of all times. Check it out!

This upcoming Run'n'gun game has very cool looking 16bit graphics and over the top arcade action. You'll spot references and easter eggs everywhere as well. Very psyched for this one...

Metroidvania/Shinobi style game with 8bit retro graphics. Gameplay looks very good from the videos and it seems to have a lot of polish. Keep an eye on that one !
