Up to four players versus. Incredible party game with easy to get in, and hard to master gameplay. Lots of characters to unlock that play completely different from one another.

Up to four players splitscreen. Really easy to get into, more than any other platformer fighter, but lacks the same character variety of other titles. Has a deep and hardcore fighting system.

Couch gameplay up two versus. All characters play different, great fighter, takes a while to learn and master. Maybe not the best for a pick up and play couch party

Up to two player versus. Simple game of Bewejeld mixed with a platformer, can be fun for a duo of players, matches can be very challenging

Up to two player versus. Incredible fighter with deep gameplay and simple controls, great for new players, may not be the best for couch parties with inexperienced players (takes a bit to get good)

Up to four player versus. The 30fps max really hurts the game, and the map selection could be a little more competitive-driven, but the concept is great, and there's lot of fun to be had

Up to 4 players splitscreen. Gets chaotic when the screen is divided by four, and the levelling/weapon system is quite complex, so it's no simple pick up and play party game, but fun in it's own way

Up to two player versus. Easy to get in, hard to master, a blast in couch parties. Everyone gets the game right away, and from there it just gets better as everyone improves their gameplan.

Up to two player coop. The sequels are better in every single way, but this is worth playing as well. Great, chaotic fun for two.
