An isometric pixelated shooter with really good storytelling and memorable boss fights. It's only downside is being kinda short at around 5h, but you won't ever forget this game.

Minecraft in 2d with a lot more action and spelunking. I've spent literally hundreds of hours playing this game, a real treat. It's also about time we get a terraria 2. One can dream right? :)

This is basically no man's sky in 2d with a whole lot more content, including bosses, making your own mech and space station, lots of npcs and a rich story. Hands down to chucklefish for this gem

We've all waited many years for this game and it is a fantastic game in all aspects, a real gem worthy of being part of the castlevania universe. I can only hope konami sees the potential in 2.5d

Metroidvania with futuristic and steampunk elements. The game takes you on a real adventure that includes even space. Definitely one of the best metroidvanias out there.
