This is what indie games are all about. Classic, well loved gameplay styles, familiar yet innovative visual assets and a handful of unique mechanical twists to keep things fresh.

A decent gameplay experience was provided throughout. not good enough to be considered replayable or iconic of course, but somewhat sates that short term, to the point horror game craving.

Elden Ring is one of the most ambitious titles I've seen in years. How it incorporates traditional souls gameplay into a fully open world title is fantastic. Easily lived up to its high expectation.

Infernax simply put, is an impeccable example of what innovation, passion and simplicity looks like when strictly adhering to an old-school, nostalgic gaming experience.

The sheer level of production quality gone into the creation of Hollowknight is simply incredible; A simple concept, formidable yet rewarding combat and expertly delivered metroidvania experience.

A brilliant visual standard, out of the box survival mechanics and incredibly unique combat in one hand. A lacklustre storyline, drawn out dialog scenes and often monotonous gameplay in the other.

While all art forms of gaming are subjective, they do not excuse consistently poor storytelling, underwhelmingly bland gameplay or an overpriced product that focuses far more on visuals than gameplay

Exo One provides a simple and enchanting experience thanks to it's high velocity, massive structures and smooth controls; lack of replayability, vague story and short duration however do let it down

It's superb visuals, great audio and somewhat demanding mechanics make for a charming, entertaining, surprisingly short lived gaming experience that lacks any endgame content and replayability
