This 3 hour game distills the essence of dungeon crawlers into a bite sized portion while easing newcomers into things with modern amenities like regular checkpoints and replenishing health potions.

This is among one of the worst PC ports I’ve seen, the plot is incredibly shallow, and gameplay simple to a fault.

As charming as this game is, it isn't fun to play. You'll get just as much, if not more, enjoyment by simply watching an edited lets play of this series.

A great game that changed the way a lot of people viewed games as a medium. I think you should go in with no expectations and let Dark Souls engross you with its own merits. Guides are helpful though.
