An experience I've remembered years since playing, The Beginner's Guide is a walking simulator done right. As soon as I finished I had to look up if the story was real and if it was lawsuit bait.

Firewatch's strong map design, clean visuals, well-written dialog, talented voice actors, and intriguing story-line is completely undermined by a plot that just gives up. Unfortunately forgettable.

Life is Strange is rightfully ridiculed for having weak gameplay and stupid characters with awful dialog. The ending was good enough to recommend this to anyone who already thinks they'll like it.

Before the Storm fundamentally fails as a story. Obnoxious characters, plot threads that never get resolved (likely due to a noticably limited budget) and no development at all. It is utterly joyless.
