Its OK if you want to rekindle feelings of nostalgia, but we feel that the opportunity to expand on the DD I.P. and create the follow-up we've all been waiting for has been lost this time round :(

Fast action that boils down to attrition & map control. A fun concept with LOADS of levels provide reason for return plays, but once you've played the first map you've seen all HH has to offer.

Into the Breach provides a hugely accessible strategy game using familiar mechanics but wrapped up in an intense, single-try narrative for huge appeal and replay value. Great for time-poor busy-bodies

An interesting mix of RTS and top-down tactics. The pace may not be suited to all but clever tactics do reward the player. Gripes: no local and skillful headshots don't count. Comes down to attrition.

Although technically a racer RR sports an interesting shop system with perma-death forcing the player to think strategically about their purchases. Lots of fun, but can be completed within a hew hours

Too light on the strategy & with RNG objective placement that has massive impact on the game. Hard to recommend as we always feel our fate lies in the RNG and not our cunning. Great soundtrack though

A simple strategy game that can be enjoyed in around 40-60mins against a single friend. Tends to always turn into a war of attrition however so get dug in, you're in it for the longhaul.

We love this even if our friends don't. Its Chess with lazers, what's not to like? Learn the 5 different pieces and enjoy some cerebral domination over a single opponent. Class

If you can forgive the clunky controls and invest time to learn, this is an absolute gem. It can be played split screen local if you can get it to work but be warned this game will NEVER be finished.

Very excited about this one. Adopting the joyful mechanics of the hugely successful RoboRally boardgame, but without the ball-ache of having to shuffle cards each round, Battle Bolts could be a winner
