A fresh new take on the River City series with the girls in the lead and a very different art style. It's great, as is the gameplay, after 30 years - an open world beat 'em up with RPG mechanics.

An HD port of an HD remake of 3 ports of 3 GBA games. Confusing enough for you? If you've somehow still never played any of them, they're all worth your time. Maybe the second game a little less so.

Spiritual successor to the Momodora series, with gameplay that's nearly identical to Momodora IV, which itself was very similar to Dark Souls. Quite short and easy, but that's not necessarily bad.

A remake of Yakuza 2 from the PS2. Unlike Kiwami 1, this one adds a lot of additional content, including two fully fleshed out side games, among others. Not as great as 0, but an enjoyable ride.

Still as good as ever, with changes most will probably not even notice. Co-op now allows for more players and a lot of the graphics have been slightly overhauled, though not always for the better.

A much more linear game than its predecessors, which does not work in its favour. The game's over before you know it, and all of the (overpriced) DLCs are 90% the same game. Fun enough while it lasts.

Pretty much a pseudo-remake of the original Blaster Master, combining a sidescrolling Metroidvania with an overhead dungeon crawler. Quite linear for a Metroidvania, but that's not really a bad thing.

A mostly good Ninja Gaiden clone, until about the halfway point, where it suddenly turns into a pretty half-baked Metroidvania game instead and you have to trudge back through every area. Decent.

IGA finally makes another Metroidvania, and it's just as good as ever. Slightly unpolished in terms of graphics, but otherwise another fine addition to the genre, with plenty of free DLC to come.

Very cool Metroidvania with a time stop gimmick based on the Touhou universe, by the team behind Pharaoh Rebirth, which is also on Steam. No knowledge of Touhou is required to enjoy.
