Potentially better than the base game - certainly more charming in character interaction, and more unrelenting & challenging in action. The perspective shift to the Marines was a smart decision.

Quite compelling as a transitional work from fast-paced QUAKE-style shooters to more methodical "narrative shooters". Loses a bit of steam (ha) in the later alien world-set levels. Still, it's good.
