This game and the first are fantastic worlds to walk around and explore. Squalid but charming and lived in, and has a murky brown fog that feels like rainbows seen in puddles of oil.

I love how the distant landscape in this game is portrayed- the distant hills that stretch onto the horizon communicate a scale that feels rarely seen in games. The countryside at daytime is amazing.

a lovingly realized slice of a neighborhood done in a gorgeous grainy style. full of life and wonderful moments. it's hazy and warm, like yesterdays summer. some fun style shifts here and there too.

wonderful spacecraft to see and great set pieces- prime blendo games stuff. i loved the exhibition hall, had fun looking at the busy roads in the city, and little lion's apartment was hilarious.

from the studio that made jusant. the tradition of beautiful environments continues. even has a cairn! great color choices as well, like the old playground at night, or the amazing sunset at the lake.

explore a city of killers in this game. lo-fi but hi impact. the flow of the levels is really great to me- it can feel mazelike but still clear as where to go. also gives you time to read the dialog!

fantastic lofi first person shooter with great map variety. ranges from small cities to greyboxes. i recommend you pick up the dlc since the extra maps are well worth. also love the twin peaks maps.

very pleasing town to walk around- small but impactful. has great colors from day to night. i love how the grass looks and how it gets clipped, and there's secrets and fun otherworldly stuff as well.

I don't include a lot of 2d games in my curations but this game came to mind. I love seeing a touristy island change over the seasons from the perspective of someone who lives there. great colors too!

desolate and pretty landscapes to wander about. i played this a while ago but sill remember many scenes. the remnants of a freeway, the harsh mountaintops, and the old world rising from the mud.
