I went into this really wanting to like it, because it's from a developer I respect, and I love Smash and am nostalgic for this roster. Unfortunately I have to agree that it deserves its status.

Overwhelm is one of the biggest surprises I've had in a long time gaming. Here's a horror action platformer that completely nails atmosphere, with its permadeath, limited ammo, and visual effects.

There isn't anything challenging in Tinykin, but I still found myself having a great time and ended up loving it for its charm and addictive fun nature. It also runs great on my PC!

Fantastic art, a great, intensely emotional story (with a shockingly bad twist), and a satisfyingly long and varied adventure (though the pacing can fall off at times). Highly recommended!

One of the best party combat games ever made, and the first game by Maddy Thorson (Celeste) to really hit the main stream. Also one of the few great games on the Ouya!

A gorgeous game that, while not as important as Hyper Light Drifter was to the industry, is still pretty damn great in its own right.

It's the sequel to Spelunky, and it's damn good. Saying anything more would be a disservice to the game.
