Left 4 Dead 2 is a FPS Survival game that relies heavily on the horror and shooting aspect. It's also good at scaring people, myself included. It's a great game with (partially) good workshop mods.

Black Mesa is a remake of Half-Life in the Source engine, more specific their own version of it. This remake has received tons of great feedback and mods. Basically definitive good Half-Life: Source.
