Akuma is coming, get ready. Intricate new system, good accessibility for new players, awesome new characters and a fun singleplayer campaign. SF6 is the full package when it comes to current gen FGs.

We recommend MKX instead if you're just in it for the gameplay and want to fight some buddies. If you care for the singleplayer things MK1 might be worth a look, however only at a discount.

Good starting roster with some fun newcomers such as Reina, flashy new heat system, option to use simpler controls for very new players, new story modes. Tekken 8 is a great package for everyone.

An exercise in quick thinking and dexterity, Jumpala tests your skills versus other players or the CPU in a relentless race to the top of the scoreboard. (We really need to git gud tho, sheesh.)

The game in itself is beautiful to look at and features an interesting system involving supporting characters as assists. The PC version however released very late and online matches are scarce.

It may look like pure meme material - but just try it. It's free, and the gameplay has depth that you might not expect by just looking at the visuals. Also, that sound design is truly... special.

Get it if you don't mind playing your grand finals in a parking lot or the men's restroom. Jokes aside, it is a great anime fighting game if you are looking for one.

Shortly after launch DOA6: Core Fighters edition was made available, a f2p version featuring a rotating set of characters. Check it out if you want to try the DOA experience for yourself, it's fun!

A 4-button 2d anime fighter, with an added twist. Players select 2 characters, and can call their second one via the D button. You can also switch chars each round. Worth getting (on sale) for sure.
