A quaint little search and find game that has some of the mystery and mythical vibes that made things like Gravity Falls so great, granted it lacks any significant suspense/tension building elements.

Feels like a return to form while still adding something new to the gameplay loop to latch onto. Also good aesthetically while not feeling like it treads old ground too heavily as Beholder 3 had done.

A straightforward sci-fi shmup game with a handful of weapons/upgrades and endless* procedural generation of levels though you will likely have experienced all the content on offer within a few hours.

An exercise in chaos management with a lot of randomly selected events that will have the difficulty ramp-up be wildly different between playthroughs. Memorizing event outcomes is key for success.

Good visuals and soundtrack but a steep learning curve/cumbersome UI has resulted in low player retention/achievement completion. Past these hiccups is an economy management game worth seeing though.

Beholder grants you the privilege of experiencing the greatness that is life in a totalitarian state with red tape everywhere and death always looming at the door of your adequately funded housing.

It takes a bit to get the ball rolling but once all the pieces are moving the progression is satisfying until some bottlenecks begin to slow you down creating a lot of time waiting to complete quests.

Foxhole provides a more holistic simulation of war with everything from fighting in trenches to managing assembly lines to driving a truck while avoiding partisans that infiltrated your supply line.

If you are looking for a traditional pool game there are other, even free, games on Steam but if you instead want a 'clear the table' challenge with magic powers to mitigate shot risk then this is it.

Needed more time in the oven to better express/pace the major locations. Each boss feels like they are a peak unto themselves rather than serve as growing steps to a greater foe, the suspense resets.
