I did not really play much on Steam, and I finished very few games in general this year. I cant add it, because it's not on Steam, but I would have Alan Wake 2 on the list if it was.

Best Games I played on Steam in 2023

I do not oft have time to play many games so every year when I do "GOTY" instead I list games I played for the first time this year that I enjoyed. I generally try to do 10 but this year it's 5.

I followed the development of this game from it's inception, and it's surreal that now it's a game of it's own instead of a total conversion. I don't think changing it was necessary though.

I never thought that FF VII needed to be longer. Then they made the game again,and like The Hobbit (2012) they added the Silmarillion to it. Because adding to classics always makes them better, right?

I've played this game enough times to say that I still think it's a terrible game that I want to think is good. I guess I get some sort of joy out of hating myself for playing it again.

While the game draws inspiration from Souls games in key ways, one of the best things about the game is how unique it is. The implementation of Buddhist mythology also adds some interesting flavor.

I really liked how many characters there are in the game, and some of the writing is ok even if it focuses too much on it. Mechanics are interesting for a second but quickly becomes shallow and samey.

This is a fun little scifi puzzle game. I enjoy the visuals, and the puzzles are mostly ok, but for me it drags on a little too long. Still- it was fun.

This game is procedurally generated, so your story will be "different" every time you play. They do that to interesting affect here, and while it's not perfect I enjoy my time with this game.
