The Final Station is a worthwhile purchase. It’s tense, challenging and – most importantly – fun to play, although I would maybe have liked a bit more ammo to play around with.

The only people who don’t know how good Resident Evil 4 is are the ones who’ve yet to experience its chilling delights. If that’s you, then what the hell are you waiting for?

So should we get excited about Agony? Quietly, I’d say. The sample of Agony currently on offer is a very impressive tech demo, but is limited enough that it really could go in a variety of directions.

It’s only when you’ve played as The Creature that things start to fall into place and you gain some insight into what you’re up against and - crucially - understand that the game is very well balanced

The playable characters are beautifully-modelled and animated, even if their expressions have less life in them than a Nigel Farage smile.

Overkill is beautifully-presented, heavily influenced by grindhouse cinema, genuinely funny and highly recommended.

So damn scary that you’ll need a whole drawer full of clean undercrackers to get through it. I think I ♥♥♥♥ four pairs during the introduction alone.

The best way to describe Teleglitch would be to say that it is an overhead shooter, made to look like it’s an original Quake engine mod.

Darkest Dungeon wants to be known as the most unfair game of all time. It revels so much in despair that it has to. Only true masochists need apply.

The level of detail in this game, and the way that detail slowly expands during play, would make any RPG fanatic’s heart race with delight.
