Vanquish is a classic action shooter before action shooters were cool. The story is... unique, but the game provides plenty of fun to keep you entertained. Well worth picking up.

If a wireless xbone controller is in use, the game will constantly think you are pressing down on the right stick. On a 1080ti system, you will be unable to get 60 fps, despite the low graphics.

Much of the game is run and operated like a mobile game.

Takes a dirt simple concept of 2D platforming with different colored rectangles and actually makes you care about them as characters. Very effective writing combined with a great soundtrack.

Metal music, VA from metal musicians and Double Fine's brand of humor combined into a fun game. Could be clunky to control where precision was needed but it gave enough leeway to make up for it.

Retro Army made a fun little Breakout clone here. It got delightfully meta near the end in addition to their usual goofy humor. Overall a fun, short, cheap experience.

A game that redefines the "Metroidvania" style of games. If you remotely enjoy that game play, pick this up. You'll be pleased with the gameplay, art, music, etc.

Absolutely a fantastic game. You do need to make sure you start a new game after beating it. There is additional story in each new game you play.

My biggest complaint is that the game is too short. There is a fantastic art style with some hard combat.
