Monark is an RPG that seems to have a lot to say, but its messages are often muddled by a strangely tedious structure and maddening enemy encounters. A real grind of a game

Riding on dogback and grappling with a “wirebug” make hunts fast: a quicker path to the dopamine rush of gathering the right monster bits you need to upgrade your equipment and battle the next beast.

A mess of obtuse mechanics and strange settings, but randomly triggering new attacks and morphing monsters is oddly compelling. The changes make this PS1 RPG far more accessible. Great music, too!

An original, skeleton-themed RPG that pits you against bone-chewing dogs with a variety of classes to use and randomised loot to equip. It's a bit of an aimless adventure at times, but a good effort
