Though still currently unfinished Ex-Zodiac is a joyful love-letter to classic Starfox and other behind the shoulder shmups of the era. It nails the aesthetic and plays great. I can't wait for more.

A stellar collection of some of the best Taito shmups out there. A little pricey for sure but there's a reason the Ray series is held in such high regards. Solid emulation by M2.

This has quickly moved to the top of my list for favorite shmups. The Graze Counter mechanic encourages you to play dangerously in a shmup that completely owns and reinvents its own concept.

Returnal is still my favorite game on PS5. With its blend of Housemarque's gameplay sensibilities and 3rd person roguelite action you'll find yourself itching to uncover more after each death.

Forza Horizon 5 is good, but I get the sense that the series is resting on its laurels rather than doing anything new or interesting. It feels weaker than Horizon 4 and the DLC has not changed that.

Pac-Man Museum had potential. Containing my favorite versions of the game I was looking forward to its release, but the input lag is so bad that these renditions are best ignored.

Managing your colony of dwarves before you watch them die has never been so easy. With the Steam version, now is the perfect time to try the game that inspired Rimworld and many others. I'm re-hooked.

Pock & Rocky Reshrined can be as breathtakingly beautiful as it is at times frustratingly difficult. A must for those who are fans of classic arcade action and lovingly drawn pixel art.
