It's Gothic, but in a post-apocalyptic timeline. Luckily, there's enough flexibility that, even if you don't want to shoot laser rifles and use mind powers, you can still swing a sword and shield.

Like Two Worlds, there are plenty of complaints (particularly the final boss fight), but it's probably still a must-play for desperate Gothic fans.

The Two Worlds series has its flaws, but Gothic fans will appreciate the humor and exploration.

If you play Arcania, you might as well go for the (extremely short) expansion. At least Diego, Milten, et al are still around.

The most controversial game on this list, Arcania is technically Gothic IV, but lacks the punch of the Risen series. Still worth it for Gothic addicts.
