This game is a piece of 'meta' story telling that claims it's a game along with loads of other things it's really not.

This is a free game and it's not riddled with micro-transactions, which I was worried about. I don't need to make a joke, because that is a joke itself.

It's just good, stupid, fun. It doesn't technically make any jokes itself, it leaves all that to you.
