I recently played through the entire game, and saw a few things I wanted to tweak. Very minor changes, mind you, so don't get too excited. Only get appropriately and modestly excited.

The last update was only about two weeks ago, so as you might imagine the situation hasn't changed much. I'm still writing dialogue for the "boss" puzzle and Erik is still experimenting with some trippy camera techniques. The results look pretty stunning so far.

In the meanwhile, here's what the update contains:

• Game: Made sure the game stays on top of the Windows 10 task bar
• Chapter 1: Replaced crowbar graphic
• Chapter 1: Replaced fish graphic
• Chapter 1: Fixed problem with Alicia's first dialogue
• Chapter 1: Removed 2 faulty interaction options
• Chapter 2: Replaced sound stinger
• Chapter 2: Added Victor's hand to glasses close-up
• Chapter 2: Replaced hand graphic
• Chapter 5: Replaced hand graphic

Don't be shy if you see something strange or buggy in the game.

Big love!

Fellow Darlings,

There won't be a November patch since we've exclusively been working on Chapter 6 this month and none of the changes we've made to the game has affected previous chapters (as they usually do).

Progress has been pretty strong lately. I was stuck on what I (somewhat jokingly) call the "boss puzzle", and had to backtrack the design a little bit. Nothing too major though. I just had to rework the general flow of the puzzle. That's been resolved now however.

There's still a ton of work for me to do on that puzzle (mostly dialogue) but I've gotten over that largest hump. Which is nice.

Erik has moved on to the second to last sequence in the game. It requires some experimentation with camera techniques we've never used before, but that will hopefully not take too long.

After that we only have the last sequence left to do.

We'll continue to be coy about release dates for a little while longer, because our time estimations are usually wrong and that just pisses people off.

UPDATE: I couldn't keep my sticky fingers away from the game. That's how I roll. Sue me.

Here's what this mini update contains:

• Game: Attempted to make the game stay on top of the Windows 10 task bar
• Demo: Updated demo

Big love!

This update came a little bit later than usual, as some of you have noted. The reason is that I spent the weekend in the lovely Swiss town of La Chaux-de-Fonds, giving a talk, befriending the native population and drinking Absinth. Swiss Absinth is a bit different from French, but they both get the job done for sure. I've also tried Czech Absinth but the less said about that the better...

All-in-all, I give Switzerland 10 out of 10.

As for the update, we're still in full production mode on Chapter 6 (no date yet), so it's mostly just small tweaks here and there. I hope you'll like them none the less.

Check out the full update details below:

• Engine: Fixed task manager bug
• Game: Tweaked sound levels
• Chapter 1: Fixed rock issue
• Chapter 1: Increased size of item button
• Chapter 5: Increased size of navigation button
• Chapter 2, 4 & 5: Added names to Mr Morton's dream map
• Chapter 5: Fixed typo

As always: shout out in the comments below if you encounter anything strange/buggy in the game. Thanks to everyone who's taken the time to report an issue!

Citizen,

Aside from Chapter 6, I've been working quite a lot on sound recently. I recently acquired a sweet pair of headphones and discovered that the sound needed some TLC. So expect a lot of sound tweaking in the coming updates. Everybody loves sound tweaks!

On the Chapter 6 front, progress has been solid and we've just finished building a very difficult portion of the game. Over the next week Erik will start building the last two sections of the game and I'll be trying to keep up implementing everything.

Short version: Still quite a lot to do. Not yet ready to set a date.

Check out the full update details below:

• Game: Fixed issues introduced with walking speed increase
• Game: Tweaked intro title graphic
• Game: Changed roll over sound on menus
• Game: Tweaked sound levels
• Chapter 1: Tweaked interactions
• Chapter 1: Tweaked inventory item graphics
• Chapter 2, 4 & 5: Tweaked bluerprint graphics
• Chapter 2, 4 & 5: Lowered volume on Morton's jazz track
• Chapter 5: Fixed spawn issue in Willard's dream
• Chapter 5: Changed the footstep sound in Willard's dream

Dear dreamers,

This has been another month were we pretty single-minded worked on Chapter 6. It's shaping up nicely, but it is still too early to set a release date. Time estimations isn't our forte, and we'd rather be fashionably coy than annoyingly wrong. We hope you understand.

The contents of this patch is mostly aimed at fixing a few issues that the walking speed increase introduced. There might still be some in the game, but they shouldn't be showstopping.

Check out the full update details below:

• Engine: Fixed task manager bug
• Demo: Updated demo
• Game: Tweaked UI
• Game: Increased sound ducking while on menus
• Chapter 3: Tweaked bartender behavior
• Chapter 3: Added porthole interactions
• Chapter 5: Fixed fail-safe mechanism in Mr Willard's dream
• Chapter 5: Increased size of right exit button by the wall
• Chapter 2, 4 & 5: Fixed issues introduced with walking speed

As always: shout out in the comments below if you encounter anything strange/buggy in the game. Thanks to everyone who's taken the time to report an issue!

Fellow dreamers,

This month we've almost exclusively worked on Chapter 6. We managed to build a lot of what proved to be a pretty difficult suite of environments. We wanted a very particular look for a certain portion of Chapter 6 and achieving that proved tricky. I wish I could talk more about it, but I really want you to experience it without prior knowledge. I look forward to hearing what you have to say when you finally see it. Personally, I think it's absolutely spectacular.

I did manage to address a few minor issues. Most importantly, I increased Victor's default walking speed. If you don't like it – or if you want him to walk even faster – there's a new option in the Settings menu for you to play with.

Check out the full update details below:

• Engine: Fixed hearing aid related bug
• Game: Tweaked UI
• Game: Increased Victor's default walking speed
• Game: Made Victor's walking speed adjustable in Settings
• Chapter 1: Tweaked item description
• Chapter 2: Added Victor's hand to burned note close-up
• Chapter 3: Tweaked item interactions
• Chapter 3: Added porthole interactions
• Chapter 5: Added first enlargement dialogue
• Chapter 5: Tweaked first enlargement dialogue
• Chapter 2, 4 & 5: Lowered volume on Morton's jazz track

A new month means a new volley of delicious tweaks. This time we've mostly focused on two problem areas that still haunted Chapter 5: The lake in Selma's dream and the void between dreams. Some of you have reported problems that this update aims to fix.

Aside from these spicy tweaks, we've been plenty busy working on Chapter 6, which is shaping up nicely. We hope to have more news about that for you in a month or two.

Check out the full update details below:

• Game: Tweaked UI
• Chapter 5: Tweaked dialogue
• Chapter 5: Reduced memory footprint of water animation
• Chapter 5: Fixed void crossing bug
• Chapter 5: Tweaked spelling

Since last month, we made a Steam page for Chapter 6. It contains some new screenshots that you might not have seen yet. Obviously, if you're spoiler-sensitive you might want to stay away.

Since the last update we've been busy working on the last puzzle sequence in the game. It has a lot of moving parts and I expect us to be working on it for a few more months. We don't have a date for Chapter 6 yet, but we'll tell you as soon as we know. While you're waiting, you'll be happy to know that we done another polishing pass on the already released chapters. That's how we roll.

Some players have reported problems entering the door to the right of the void between Martin's and Selma's dream. I've tried to fix it, but since I can't replicate the bug myself I have no idea if it worked or not. If you were having problems, this update might fix it. If it doesn't, I added a temporary quick & dirty solution to help you out: click the right entrance 3 times. That should hopefully force the transportation.

Check out the full update details below:

• Engine: Added some debug features
• Game: Fixed dialogue being drawn too high on screen
• Game: Swapped menu sound assets
• Game: Tweaked UI
• Chapter 1: Added dialogue
• Chapter 1: Removed Mr Morton's smoke FX temporarily
• Chapter 2, 4 & 5: Tweaked asset loading in Morton's office
• Chapter 2, 4 & 5: Tweaked dialogue
• Chapter 3: Tweaked blackmail letter graphics
• Chapter 3: Fixed some dialogue bugs
• Chapter 3: Swapped sound stingers
• Chapter 4 & 5: Fixed depth sorting issue at tea party
• Chapter 4: Added tea party dialogue
• Chapter 4: Tweaked tea party dialogue
• Chapter 4: Fixed typos
• Chapter 5: Fixed knight's verb not changing correctly
• Chapter 5: Tweaked creature close-up graphics
• Chapter 5: Tweaked grave interaction
• Chapter 5: Fixed helmet-related bug
• Chapter 5: Attempted to fix void crossing bug

After a rather drab winter full of cold, rain, slush, snow, introversion, self-destructive drinking habits, fever dreams, hot soups, cozy family holidays, revisits to old games, binge watching of TV-series, book reading, layer dressing, extra radiators, long johns, casual spooning and frantic mistletoe make-out sessions, we're slowly approaching the end of Chapter 6.

Right now we're about knee deep in the last puzzle sequence. It's pretty extensive as you might imagine. Once that's done we also have a few closing sections to work on, before we push this bad boy into earnest testing. So the release of Chapter 6 is still some ways off.

While taking a break from Chapter 6, I decided to push a fairly meaty update live to ensure the game is running smoothly for y'all. It fixes and improves a lot of things, but I think my favorite is that the safe door now displays correctly when you look at it through the basement window. For no good reason, that's always bothered me and I finally did something about it.

So cheers for me, for being useful.

And cheers for you, for being patient and awesome.

Check out the details below:

• Game: Fixed UI bug
• Game: Added profile blinks to Victor
• Chapter 1: Tweaked item descriptions
• Chapter 1: Tweaked living room graphics
• Chapter 1: Reduced compression on Victor's wake up animation
• Chapter 2: Fixed sleeping Morton-related visual glitch
• Chapter 2, 4 & 5: Fixed safe-related visual glitch
• Chapter 2, 4 & 5: Reduced blur in basement window
• Chapter 2, 4 & 5: Tweaked basement graphics
• Chapter 2, 4 & 5: Tweaked lobby navigation button
• Chapter 3: Added hints for radio puzzle
• Chapter 3: Tweaked hints for radio puzzle
• Chapter 3: Added dialogue
• Chapter 3: Replaced sound assets
• Chapter 3: Added hints for Victor Nine puzzle
• Chapter 4: Added hint for tea puzzle
• Chapter 4: Fixed tea pot visual bug
• Chapter 4: Tweaked graphics in Edie's dream
• Chapter 4: Attempted to improve drag & drop functionality on photo wall
• Chapter 4 & 5: Tweaked dialogue
• Chapter 5: Fixed door bug in Willard's dream
• Chapter 5: Tweaked knight's dialogue
• Chapter 5: Added knight's grave interaction
• Chapter 5: Added auto save point before stomach sequence
