Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People: Season 1

Show posts for all products, not just Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People: Season 1
Shacknews - John Keefer

It's time for a new bundle of PC games from Indie Royale, with this week's batch collectively called The Mash. This bundle of five titles includes something from Telltale Games, and no, it's not Sam & Max or The Walking Dead.

Telltale's comedy adventure Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People headlines the batch. Also included are the team-based airship game Guns of Icarus Online from Muse Games; a martial arts beat-em-up called Kung Fu Strike: The Warrior's Rise from Qoocsoft; the platformer KRUNCH from LeGrudge & Rugged; and Delve Deeper, a turn-based strategy game involving Dwarven miners, from Lunar Giant Studios.

The average price so far is $5.96, but paying $8 or more will get you Danimal Cannon and Zef’s Parallel Processing album for some easy listening. The bundle will be active until 5 a.m. PT (8 a.m. ET) on March 6.

Product Release - Valve
Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People is now available as a SteamPlay title!

To commemorate its launch, the game is available at 50% off now through Jan. 20th, 2011 10AM PST. As with all SteamPlay titles, buy once and play on either PC or Mac OSX.

You may already know Strong Bad from his regular appearances answering emails and doling out not-so-useful advice on Homestarrunner.com, or from his latest appearance on Poker Night at the Inventory.

Now he's the star of a five episode comedy series, Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People. With storylines co-written by the guys from Homestarrunner.com, you'll feel like you're inside Strong Bad's world. (You may even start to talk like him!) Each episode has a different theme and you get to hang out with with Homestar, The Cheat, Bubs — the whole crew. It's like a Strong Bad cartoon on steroids. As Strong Bad would say, what the crap are you waiting for?

Attractive people might be interested to learn that the adventure game created expressly for them, Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People, is finally headed to PlayStation 3 and Mac, as announced yesterday by cool dude developer Telltale Games.

Telltale's video game adaptation of web cartoon series Homestar Runner was originally released for PC and Nintendo's WiiWare download service in five monthly episodes, starting in August 2008. It'll launch for PlayStation 3 in North America on December 21, followed by a European PS3 release and Mac edition "shortly thereafter."

Pricing has yet to be announced. For reference, the full season currently costs $29.95 on DVD for PC, while the five individual episodes cost $10 a pop to download on Wii.

Strong Bad recently put in an appearance in Telltale's Poker Night at the Inventory.
