To celebrate breaking the 6,000,000 unique game downloads mark, virtuous virtual vendor of vintage video games Good Old Games is offering a classic for free. Revolution Software's fine adventure game Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars can briefly be had for $0.00, but be quick as time's short.
If you still mourn the golden days of adventure games, Broken Sword's from towards the end of the era, a few years before the fall, so it should tickle your fancy--especially at that price. GOG's Broken Sword offering includes both the 1996 original edition and 2010's revamped and expanded Director's Cut.
All you need to download it is a GOG account. However, be quick if you fancy it, as the freebie is only on offer until 4:59am Pacific on October 1. After then, it'll go back to $6.99.
Digital vintage game emporium GOG is about to hit the six million downloads mark, and has announced how it intends to celebrate.
The lucky customer responsible for nudging the store over the milestone will receive every single game in the GOG catalogue.
Further to that, anyone with an account will be able to download point-and-click classic Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars Director's Cut free of charge for 48 hours after the champagne corks are popped.
