Hey everyone! Patch 1.8 has just been pushed live. To ensure you're playing the most current version of Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures, please close the game and reboot Steam.

Patch 1.8 Notes

  • The pre-order contest winner cameo has (finally) been added to the game.
  • A new achievement has been added for finding the contest winner.
  • The death screens can now be skipped by pressing a button.
  • The glitch transition effect has been slightly reworked for increased performance.
  • One of the Knights in Assholevania decided to destroy a block that was confusing some players
  • The monsters in Dungeons and Dickholes have built a small platform before the first set of disappearing blocks.

Hey everyone! Patch 1.7.1 has just been pushed live. To ensure you're playing the most current version of Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures, please close the game and reboot steam.

Patch 1.7.1 Notes

  • Keyboard mapping has been re-worked for improved functionality
  • When using a Keyboard. the arrow and enter keys will always be used to navigate the menu. This will allow the menus to be navigated regardless of what key-bindings have been set to.
  • Fixed a bug where that would cause players to continue with 0 lives after quitting at the game over screen.
  • The game will no longer detect keyboard inputs when windowed or tabbed out.

Hello Everyone! I'm happy to announce that we got everything sorted out and trading cards have just been approved for Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures. Thanks for your patience while we got this sorted out! In case you're unfamiliar as to how they work here's a brief description.

Q: How do I get trading cards?
A: By playing AVGNA you’ll earn a random collection of up to half the full set of trading cards. To acquire the other half you need to trade or buy them from other players.

Q: OK I have them all, what now?
A: Great! Now that you've collected them all you can craft the set into a badge, which you can display on your Steam profile!

Q: Cool, anything else?
A: Yep! Continue collecting cards and crafting sets to unlock more badges, Steam EXP, emoticons for chat and even profile backgrounds!

Thanks to everyone for picking up the game! Now start collecting!

Hello Everyone! I'm happy to announce that AVGN Adventures now features Steam trading cards! In case you're unfamiliar as to how they work here's a brief description.

Q: How do I get trading cards?

Happy Halloween everyone! To celebrate the spookiest of holidays we've added a fun skin change to the characters. In addition, beating the final boss on normal or higher difficulty will unlock a special achievement. The achievement and skin will only be available through Sunday November 3rd. So make sure you pay the final boss a visit before then!

Also in this update

  • Keyboard mapping can now be reset before launching the game. To do this type “/keyreset” in the game’s Launch Options in Steam.
  • Fixed a few minor graphical glitches.

Hey everyone! Patch 1.7 has just been pushed live. To ensure you're playing the most current version of Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures, please close the game and reboot steam.

Patch 1.7 Notes

  • Keyboard mapping has been added and can be found in the options menu.
  • Users can now disable gamepad detection. To do this type “/gamepadoff” in the game’s Launch Options in Steam
  • Fixed a bug where the Window would periodically reset it’s position to the middle of the screen if the user had moved it
  • You can no longer get stuck in the re-appearing blocks in Boo! Haunted House
  • Time now maxes out at 999 minutes in the options menu
  • Beer, Deaths and 1ups collected now max out at 9999 in the options menu
  • Fixed a bug that was preventing the game from returning to the main menu after completing the game

Hey everyone! Patch 1.6 has just been pushed live. To ensure you're playing the most current version of Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures, please close the game and reboot steam.

Patch 1.6 Notes

  • Intro logos can now be skipped by pressing a button
  • A volume control feature has been added to the options menu
  • A music volume control has been added to the options menu
  • The game no longer polls for Xbox 360 controllers at every loop. This should fix lag when using a 360 controller that some users were experiencing
  • Cheat codes can now be entered with a Keyboard. Use the arrows and the keys L, R, A, B, X and Y
  • Fixed a bug in the "Fucking Impossible" difficulty that cause a player to lose two lives when dying at certain bosses
  • Fixed a bug that would cause Guitar Guys projectile to "stick" on screen
  • Players will no longer see a dialog box pop up briefly before the boss on Beat it & Eat It
  • Fixed a bug that would allow the final boss to double hit on collision
  • Fixed a bug that would allow some players to get "stuck" in the moving cog platforms in the final level.

Hey everyone! Patch 1.5 has just been pushed live. To ensure you're playing the most current version of Angry Video Game Nerd Adventures, please close the game and reboot steam.

Patch 1.5 Notes

  • Fixed a bug that would sometimes allow bullets to pass through "Bob the Robot" enemies.
  • Fixed a bug in Dungeons and Dickholes that would cause players to get stuck in the bridge if a disappearing block appeared on top of them.
  • Added Multiple Video modes to the Options menu

    • Full - Default recommended mode that displays the game at full screen.
    • Compatibility Mode - Displays at full screen, but with a fix for users that experience an issue where the screen is displayed in a small window in the corner of the screen.
    • Window - Displays the game in a 960x540 window.
    • Window (Medium) - Displays the game in a 640x360 window.
    • Window (Small) - Displays the game in a 320x180 window

  • Pressing the Esc key when in Full Mode will automatically switch the game to Window Mode and can be done at any time.
