Hey you bass players out there, the most recent update of Songs2See Game to version 1.51 features an improved bass note recognition. Some of our users experienced problems with the recognition of certain bass notes in the past, so we improved on that. Please let us know if the bass recognition works well for you in this thread.

We promised it and made it possible, Songs2See can now be played with the violin. Songs2See Game and Songs2See Editor have been updated to v1.5. Get the free update and try our new songs:

With the most recent, free update of Songs2See Editor, it is finally possible to import gp5 files created with Guitar Pro™ 5. Further features and enhancements are:

  • opened s2s filename displayed in window caption
  • zoom icons can be clicked
  • fixed issues with repeats on import

This tune should be quite familiar to our European users. The first commenter who can tell, where this is used in TV will receive a free steam key for Songs2See.

With the most recent, free update you'll get some nice new features.

The Songs2See Game now includes:

  • A countdown in musically meaningful beats (count in)
  • A customizable instrument, which allows you to select the clef and score sheet transposition (not the music!) required for your instrument (even if it's not yet supported by Songs2See)
  • Selectable segments inside a song are now tied to bar beginnings
  • Note heads in the classical score sheet view are colored according to player's performance (see screenshot below)




The Songs2See Editor now includes:

  • Correct backing & solo tracks used after import of *.s2p files (useful if you want to mod the included songs of Songs2See Game)
  • Nicer tones for the piano synthesizer (used for Songs2See Game files)
  • Tablature viewer that allows to preview, print or save tabs for guitar, bass and ukulele (see screenshot below)

Many users have requested the violin as an additional instrument in Songs2See. In beta-tests we could not find an agreement about the most intuitive visualization. Please help us by picking your favorite among the three preview options below. Just comment below this announcement which one you'd prefer.

With the most recent update of the Songs2See Editor, you can now import GuitarPro files (gp3, gp4) in conjunction with an audio-file (wav, mp3). Then, the existing notation from the GuitarPro file will be used instead of the automatic transcription. You find this import option in the menu 'File->Import GuitarPro with Audio'
