Vae Victis - Khan - doorknob22

Despite all the threats of taking the game down, I'm determined to give you guys the best game I can.

I don't want to sink into feelings of doom and gloom, censorship and being left without income. I'd rather think about big melons. Fahda sized melons.

The models for the Ziruan (Marbia) oasis were chosen four years ago, back when I was just starting out and my experience with 3D aesthetics was far more limited. While the game has grown in popularity, some players have consistently criticized certain models, and I agree that some of them haven’t aged well.

Fahda, in particular, seems to be one of the least favored models among players. Since I’m currently revisiting the oasis, this is the perfect opportunity to address that.

Please write in the comments below which model you like best. As always, the final decision will be mine; sometimes a model looks great in one set but terrible in another, and I may need to adjust accordingly. But your feedback will help me make the best choice.

Cheers!

P.S

  1. I intend to launch a Safe For Work version of the game. If this game goes missing one day, keep your eyes open for new games with name like "Vae Victis" and "Khan" (Vae Victis - Rise of the Khan?). Also: my email address is my Steam user at gmail.

  2. As always, if you enjoy the game and didn't vote for it yet, every Thumbs Up helps.

European War 4 - Napoleon Remastered - easytechservice

Greetings, Commanders!

A huge thank you for your passionate feedback on the early beta images for European War 4: Napoleon Remastered!

We’ve read every piece of intel you’ve sent regarding the UI, generals, data balancing, map mechanics, unit movement, and other valuable feedback. In this message, we want to share some of the changes we are currently deploying to the UI and interactions based on your feedback.

From the beginning this title decided, our top priority has been to forge a true PC version game. We are moving beyond the original mobile design to deliver the UI and interaction that is purpose-built for PC screens and keyboard-and-mouse control. This involves more than just adapting the art style; we are redesigning the entire layout for better flow and accessibility.

After carefully reviewing all the feedback from our commanders, we've focused our latest optimization efforts on these key areas:

1. A complete layout redesign to enhance the clarity and presentation of UI and information, both inside and outside of matches.

2. Full optimization for the PC experience, including improved mouse and keyboard controls, plus the addition of hotkey support and an in-game guide.

3. A more responsive and tactile feel, achieved by enhancing input feedback, hover effects, and other interactive visuals.

These adjustments to UI and interaction are just one part of our remastering efforts. Core content, including map optimization, the addition of new levels and improvements to existing ones, balancing adjustments for general skills and stats, and the optimization of resource allocation for the premium model, is currently under intensive and simultaneous development and debugging.

In our upcoming communications, we will gradually share the latest optimization plans and detailed results with you, our Commanders. We hope you will continue to follow our future updates and provide valuable suggestions and feedback on these adjustments. Your input is the driving force behind our progress!

Stellar Freight: Echoes of the Void - satellite235official

So, we’re starting this small devlog to share more about the development process and the game itself.

The combat system has always been one of the most important parts of the game. What we currently have is simple and casual. That’s why we decided to improve and expand it — to give the player more control over how battles play out, and to make the system more flexible overall.

Now, both player and enemy ship hulls will have different levels of protection and specific weak points.
Less protected parts will take less damage, while heavily armored areas — which are harder to hit — will take more. Still, even if you miss the target, there will be some minimal damage applied anyway.

The game already has ship upgrades, hull purchases, and other elements that affect your ship — like the crew. In the future, we may add even more mechanics like that. This new flexible combat system gives us the freedom to expand.

We’ll continue sharing various insights — both lore-related and development-focused — so stay tuned!

Sub Optimal Co. - Campbell

Hi all, this patch is adding a lot of new little things. From just cosmetic features to new game-mechanics.

1.0.0.3 Qualitiy-Of-Dive improvements:

Technical stuff:
- Empty Cup Bug: fixing a bug where you couldn't refill your cup
- Back Light Bug: fixing a bug where the back light in the submarine would not switch back to white
- Target Collect Bug: Increased the range of backup-target-interaction to easily sync target activation

Gameplay stuff: One returning suggestion from the divers was to have a little more info for navigation and general direction. Just to get a better understanding of where to actually head the sub. Also mentioned more than once, the wish for more customization and a little more to do on the sub itself while diving. So here are some first steps to improve the diving experience into that direction:

- Added a 3D realtime map to the bridge of the submarine with 2 zoom steps. Your position is always the middle. The cave is shown transparent around and the target is a red dot. That should help to plan your next move with more confidence. Also note: the submarine light (red, blue, white) can help to see things better on that map.

- Collision events are now a thing. The submarine is now equipped with valves. In the event of an collision, these may open up to release pressure from the pipes to prevent them from bursting. This also may affects some operational systems within the sub like buttons, lights or screens. So ensure to check and close them again after a collision.

- Hats can now be put on or off. To introduce them we start with a captains hat and a black hat. They can be switched to your likings at any time in the ESC menu. So anybody can be a captain now.

- Submarine customization can now be found on the way to the submarine. In this demo you can now choose between some preset colors for outer hull, inner hull and the pipes. Feel free to mix and match as you like. Everybody can also set a name for the sub in the ESC menu, making sinking even more painful, as your submarine now got a name :, ( (the customization colors will be expanded in the full release version)

- Reworked ESC menu. The ingame ESC menu is now reworked to better scale with screens and is re-arranged to fit the main menu better.

- Improved Info Screen. We now see X, Y, Z coordinates that are shown as such and distance is now in meter. This should help to easier define positioning and aerial awareness.

- New Sounds. The Engine features now a more mechanical charactered sound and the target tanks also got a new layer of sound to better match their "volume".

- Also fixed some typos here and there (pretty sure there are still some left) and updated the tutorial level.

As always, hope you like that and let me know what you think in the comments.

Thx to everyone for diving and have a nice day, Dev

The Braves - 腾蛇

Brave Ones!

We are happy to present a new issue of the “Developer Diary”!

For all those eager to learn what changes and innovations await the world of Singoru, we are ready to lift the veil.

In this issue, we’ll reveal two more heroes coming to the Pure Soul Portal, as well as a brand-new armor set.

Update: Pure Soul Portal

When the Pure Soul Portal first opened, only the chosen could pass through — those with unshakable will and a soul as pure as Aether’s glow. Since then, their ranks remained unchanged. Until now.

We’ve already introduced Singward — one of the new summoned. Today, it’s time to name the others.

Glacia and Tenkyo — two new names, two new faces in the story to come. Along with Singward, they join the familiar heroes of the Pure Soul Portal.

Important: The new heroes do not replace the old ones. They are added to the summoning pool, broadening choices and opening new paths for those brave enough to step through the Portal.

The old souls remain. But now, new ones have joined them.

Glacia – The Enchanting Ice Mistress

Glacia was an ordinary girl who loved winter. Unfortunately, city winters rarely looked like the ones in books or films. Most days, her window revealed nothing but a grey-brown slush. Still, on those rare occasions when snowflakes gently drifted to the ground and crunched softly underfoot, Glacia would go for a walk. She’d buy ice cream and head to the local skating rink. Even when the frost nipped at her cheeks, she welcomed the cold — wearing a look of utter happiness.

At night, wrapped in her favorite blanket, she would dream. What superpower would she choose? Time-stop? Elemental control? Super speed to finally stop missing the bus? Each day brought a new story in her head — where she was the hero saving lives. But morning always brought reality: alarms, hurry, routine.

Until one day... a very normal winter’s day decided to grant her wish — in a most unusual way.

An icicle. Ordinary. Determined. Fell from a rooftop — right onto her head. If this had been a cartoon, stars would’ve spun around her. In reality? Darkness.

But Glacia didn’t wake up in the hospital. Instead, she found herself in silence. It was odd, but not frightening — as if she was wrapped in something invisible, warm and soft, despite the lingering cold.

When she opened her eyes, she was in an unfamiliar world. The locals called it Singoru — a place where good teeters on the edge, and evil… well, evil here is serious: magic, swords, and fangs that no one bothers to clean out of principle.

Here, Glacia felt a power awaken within her — a living, obedient cold. She could summon icy shards and send them flying at her enemies. When danger arose, frost burst forth, freezing threats in place and allowing her to act. Ice was her gift. And at last — she became a hero. A real one.

Her journey was… unorthodox. But Glacia had no complaints. Not every day does an icicle kickstart your superhero career.

A Comic Book Heroine

Once, while gazing at her reflection in a frozen lake, Glacia thought, “I could use a new outfit.” Not armor, not a robe — an outfit. Stylish, like in comics. With a visor. White, obviously.

What local tailors offered was… boring. She tried making something herself — but it always turned out eerily familiar. As if the fabric itself insisted: “Leave it be.” She almost gave up.

Almost — until she met Singward. Or rather, his upgraded form: more metal, less knight. She didn’t recognize him at first — but the inspiration was immediate. A few days of questioning (and missed lunches for Singward), and the name of the master was revealed: Nicolas.

His workshop looked like a mad scientist's lab — which only reassured her she was in the right place. Two weeks of persistence, and Nicolas gave in. He created the suit — sleek, white, with the desired visor, and even with hair-color-changing tech! He added boosters too, just to stop her asking.

Now, Glacia has her new costume. And she feels more heroic than ever. Because now — she’s got the costume to match.

Tenkyo – The Witch with a Guitar

She was a superstar. Not a 15-second TikTok flicker — a real one. Guitar. Stage. A screaming crowd. Her solos were memorized by heart, guitarists envied her, and fans would trade years for a ticket to her concert. She hadn’t reached legendary status yet, but she was on her way — fueled by late-night rehearsals, worn-out picks, and blistered fingers.

On the outside — glamour and applause. Inside — silence, melancholy, and aching loneliness. Her parents were long gone, few friends remained, and the fame, the money, the fans... all felt like glittery dust. All she had left of her past was her old guitar and a noisy amp that hummed like it shared her pain.

One day, after a concert, she stayed behind on the empty stage. The lights went out, the audience left — she sat alone, strumming, trying to coax the last remaining notes from deep inside. The melody she played was soft — like a farewell to those she’d lost and to the loneliness that never left.

And then — like a scene from a bad movie: a short circuit, a spark, a bang... and a lighting rig crashed down on her.

A grim ending? It would’ve been. But her life decided to play out a scene from a manga she once read under the covers as a child.

She awoke in complete darkness. She couldn’t see, but she felt… something watching her. Hundreds of little eyes. Fear? No. On the contrary — peace. A strange feeling of home. She reached out instinctively — and her guitar was there. As if it had followed her.

She emerged into a strange forest, teeming with odd creatures. Some ran, others flew at her. Tenkyo did what she did best — she played.

Notes poured out, vibrating the air. Her music echoed through the woods — and through a swarm of bats. One surged ahead, striking enemies threatening her. She kept playing, unaware of a wolf sneaking up. Only when it leapt did a whirlwind spark around her, laced with lightning. The wolf fell — lifeless.

She ended her solo, staring at what remained: fallen monsters and a few bats that had died protecting her.

From then on, stories spread through Singoru — of the witch with the guitar. She played the music of storms, commanded bats… and always traveled alone. But now — she’s no longer lonely.

What Matters Most to a Musician

It’d be a lie to say Tenkyo never thought of changing her style. Of course she had. Sometimes. When seeing new fabrics at the market. Or catching her reflection in a shop window. Or standing beneath the twilight sky with her guitar, wondering: “Should I change something?”

But the thought always slipped away — like wind through guitar strings.

She was fine as is. Guitar — there. Sound — pure. Rhythm — hers. Companions near, road beneath her feet, endless tunes in her mind — everything she needed was already with her.

One day, maybe, she’ll change. Surprise, redesign, redefine. But not now. Now, something else matters more.

Because what’s the most important thing for any musician?

Music.

New Equipment – Star Fortress Set

Since Aether began calling to heroes, the world has changed. Not suddenly — more like an ancient mechanism being reawakened. The gears of fate, long silent, have started to turn once again.

Strange creatures appeared, unstable portals, mysterious artifacts… and coins. They called them Star Coins — for their shimmering glow and the sense that each held a fragment of something vast and powerful.

The material was unique. It was melted down, studied, combined with other metals. Thus was born the Star Fortress Set — a complete armor forged for those who stare death in the eye and do not blink.

In every piece — from helm to ring — lives something more than mere steel. Its power lies not just in protection, but in what it grants: the ability to return to life. Twice.

Its origin remains uncertain. Some believe it's tied to the stars, others — to Aether itself. The stubborn ones? They stay silent, wear it again, and that’s enough.

Sometimes, all it takes is one more chance to win.

This set gives you two.

That’s it for now! Stay tuned — much more is coming. In the meantime, share your thoughts and expectations in the comments.

Forward, Brave Ones!

Traversion - Minirow

This update focuses on releasing the desert levels, and making minor adjustments to earlier levels. A small quality of life improvement has been applied to all levels to make collisions simpler for objects like boxes, pillars, and pipes.

Additions

  • Desert levels 1-5 are accessible by default again, following their revision.

  • Deadly objects have been given a red fresnel overlay to help distinguish them.

Changes

  • Checkpoints have been moved in several meadow, ice, and desert levels.

  • Made desert 1 jumps more possible.

  • Added a few collectables. Go find them.

  • Ice level 5’s pillar swings have had every second grapple point removed.

  • Tutorial text prompts have been adjusted, and will reappear on respawn.

  • Ice level 4’s ice spikes have been made deadly again. Whoops.

  • Changed the collision shapes for all pipe models, pillars, and boxes to make collisions friendlier for players.

And that’s about it. We’ve got the volcano area revision underway, so look forward to that as you shave down those highscores.
