Jane has been invited to showcase her incredible cooking skills on the TV show "Cooking Strike"! To prove she’s ready, she must complete five levels in a row.

As you progress through the challenge, the TV crew will upgrade your kitchen with professional equipment.

Be careful—failing a level resets your progress, and you'll have to start from the beginning. But don’t worry, you can try as many times as you like! The show is covering all the food costs, so your supplies remain untouched.

Complete all five levels to earn a major reward, including booster parts, Coins, Rubies, and blog points!

If you don’t finish before the event ends, no problem—you won’t lose anything, and another TV opportunity will come soon!
Hypersomnia - Pythagoras of Samos
Player was sometimes teleported, or getting randomly killed by bots even though it still walked on the screen. The footstep smokes were there but no bot was visible.

Technical:

- This was because of the decorative organisms (e.g. fish on `de_cyberaqua`) mistakenly using the same RNG as the simulation logic.
- Normally when state desyncs, it is detected by the client - a state hash that differs from the server's is seen and a resync from the server is requested.
- Not this time - this bug was apparent on the predicted game world which only exists on the client.
- When the client is alone on the server, their predicted game world is usually spot on and might never get corrected for a long time until a random spike in lag (latency affects which simulation step your inputs might get applied to, so the **more stable your connection was, the more often this happened** as the predicted world was corrected more rarely).
- However if that predicted game world has a different advance logic, the predicted and the referential server world might start diverging exponentially.
- This is what happened here - within the predicted world, I purposely disable simulating fish to save processing time, assuming that will not break determinism of the rest of the simulation, but I haven't realized the fish are using the same RNG as the logic. Fish requesting next random values from the RNG causes the next requests to be different for the other simulation logic later down the road.

So basically the demo is ready to be fully exposed.

I have added a new dialog at the first crypt with a dying warrior.

Now when you shoot at objects the projectiles will collide with the walls and the floor.

A weapon switvch animations were added to the weapons and it is now much more fun to switch them!

Mainly some other bugs were fixed like now you are now not slowing down in mid air when you jump+a jump sfx was added so its making this fun retro jump sound like in quake or other retro shooters!

- The unfinished achievements have been added.

Other Changes:
- Some achievements are now retroactive, unlocking when you open up the popup for the achievement.
- The "Clean" font option has been tweaked to have more consistent spacing! It should be much easier to read now! I did some quick testing and saw nothing really wrong with the new spacing, but I sort of expect to have missed something, so that may be off.

Bug Fixes:
- Fixed a crash caused by double clicking non equipment items on the shop popup.


(Sorry, wanted this to be a bigger patch but the crash is easy enough to make happen that I couldn't postpone this fix.)

Gameplay Balancing

  • \[Enemies] Optimized the vision cone mechanics. Now the cone stays the same even if the player enters the cone. The enemy no longer shoots if the player is outside the cone. That caused of lot of frustration. ⁠Touché par des ennemies en deho…,

  • \[Shop] Added two more tables,

  • \[Map] Increased map size by 50%,

  • \[Ammo] Optimized ammo management in case of new weapon : if the same type (rifle, pistol), the most amount of ammo between them is kept,

  • \[Weapons] Nerfed rng stats for each qualities above crap

  • During the special hunt "Demon of Darkness", light behavior has been updated — its movement now appears smooth on the client side.
  • Mara's behavior on level 1 has been reworked — upon detecting active projectors in her favorite room, she now violently throws them around.
  • Fixed a bug where the radio station purchased in the bunker did not increase the reward.
  • Optimized the rendering of portals and paths leading to them for improved performance and visual clarity.
  • Fixed a bug where, if the "Second Chance" perk activated in the Shadow World, the portal back to the Shadow World would not reappear.
  • Fixed a voice chat bug where players could hear each other regardless of in-game conditions.
  • Fixed the Ouija board — commands are now recognized correctly. However, the ability to spam commands has been removed.
  • New Feature: The price for each taken photo is now displayed.
  • Optimized FPS in the lobby and during matches for more stable performance.
  • Fixed a bug where the closet mini-game would not start or function properly.
  • Added a "Rain Intensity" setting to adjust intensity rain.
