-Players can now use the keys 1, 2 and 3 (or on the numpad) to choose what units they would prefer to control when possessing with 'P'. This can also be done manually, while in the management mode via the 'control units' menu. The icon in the top right gives a visual indicator of the preferred unit.

Should players want to control just the nearest unit, they can press '0' and the visual indicator will disappear (and the unit possession won't discriminate).
-Enemies now use their current velocity in the calculation they do to see if they should bite or sting. This should allow for greater NPC accuracy.

-Minor bug fixes and improvements; for example players should now teleport in and out of hives properly.

We are preparing the Game‑Over Summary feature as one of the contents for the next update.

When the game ends, your run statistics will appear alongside an adorable illustration of the defeated Kirara.

Orc Veteran: What a pushover!

If you fall in a normal stage, you will go straight to the summary screen,

but if you are defeated in a boss battle, a fun defeat cut‑scene will play.

When you meet that boss again later, a short rematch cut‑scene will also be shown.

The Bandit Enforcer—now portrayed as a die‑hard fan of Bandit Boss Lucy—appears in the defeat cut‑scene!

By adding defeat and rematch cut‑scenes, we are further strengthening each boss’s personality to make them even more appealing.

In addition, based on your feedback, we are working on level‑design tweaks, mid‑stage save points, and many other improvements.

Hi everyone. Sorry for the lack of patches. Been ill. Y'all should send me "gws" messages.

Anyways, this update focus on patching a few bugs found through playtesting. Multiplayer (probably) works but I haven't tested it fully yet. If it still doesn't work, I'll probably fix it in v.0.2.2 instead of another patch.

Patch notes incoming:

  • Fixed being unable to jump out of the water easily at the shop

  • Fixed lobby list in pause menu being too elastic

  • Fixed voting countdown timer not running out

  • Fixed "PlayersAlive" count updating incorrectly due to the game not decreasing the players alive once a player disconnects. A "DeadPlayer" dictionary is now stored on the host and if the player that disconnects is not in the dictionary, "PlayersAlive" will decrease correctly.

  • Fixed a potential softlock with group buttons if a player disconnects. Previously group buttons would calculate required presses when a player disconnects through the amount of connected clients, now it does it through the fixed "PlayersAlive" count. (NOTE: just realized ANOTHER bug with group buttons while typing this. If one or more players pressed the button before it updates, those presses will be ignored. However, players won't be able to press the button again. Fix later.)

  • Fixed the game endlessly trying to join a lobby that doesn't exist. Now it'll time out after 5 seconds. Might up the time depending on player feedback. lmk

  • Fixed shop text that is supposed to appear in the elevator appearing when you're not in the elevator on map load
