To turn things even more round-and-round and upside down to celebrate the launch - Dandara: Trials of Fear Edition is now discounted by 60% until the 11th of March.

The brand new edition adds massive amounts of content as well as enhancing all parts of the original game, all of which is totally free to download for existing owners of the game.

Dandara, our bold heroine in the directionless bizarre, gravity bending world, gets an update. There's news both to players who want a tougher challenge and for those who prefer a smoother journey with options making the game easier. Here's a list of changes:

Rebalancing of the difficulty curve and general quality updates, examples:

• Shorter time for using essences (Health and Energy flasks).
  
• Rebalancing the last boss challenge, for a more fun and fairer one.
  
• Rebalancing of the Dream Lands.
  
• Redesign of the Mosquito enemy.
  
• Sound alert when Dandara is at low health.

New Game+/Challenge options added after finishing the game for the first time. The following can be turned on:

• Permadeath, Dandara dies permanently without the ability to respawn.
  
• Harsh Wounds, Dandara takes double damage.
  
• No Grinding, Pleas of Salt can only be found in chests, meaning enemies or destructible objects won't drop them anymore.
  
• Vengeful Enemies, every enemy spawn a revenge bullet in Dandara's direction when killed. The revenge bullet can be cancelled by leaping through it while it is stationary.

Easy options added. The following can be enabled:

• Unlimited Energy, secondary powers won't drain energy.
  
• After dying, respawn at the last door entered. Enables the player to retry the challenge of each room without the need of backtracking to it.
  
• More Flags mode, which adds more checkpoint flags throughout the map.

Expanded the Crib of Creation area for better onboarding with the game's mechanics and flow.


Tutorial interface updated for mouse and keyboard.


Vsync toggle added in Main Menu → Options Menu for PC and mobile platforms.

Additional features for veteran Dandara players:

• "Hidden" skip cutscene command:
  
• Keyboard: Ctrl+Shift+(Space Bar - Quick Double Press)
  
• Controllers: Left Shoulder Button (L1/Z/L/LB) - Quick Double Press
  
• Skip Crib of Creation: At The Void, after destroying the first target and opening the door, another target appears floating on the leftmost possible range of that scene. Shoot there to skip the Crib of Creation new tutorial rooms.

LEVELS AND DESIGN:

- Screen Shake added when Dandara takes damage.
- Better Dreamworlds overall. Better separation of battles, smoother difficulty curve in the Fake Village, less leaps of faith.
- Subtle changes in Dream Worlds make it clearer how to "solve" the vortex puzzle.
- Changed enemy positioning and room layouts from the Fortress to achieve clearer challenges and smoother difficulty.
- Scythe Soldiers and Golden Sorcerers now are more aggressive, and can dodge a continuous bursts of attacks (like a bunch of missiles!). A player cannot ignore them as easily as before and is more encouraged to engage in battle with them.
- Wall Siblings are way more happier to see you than before >:D. (Audio changes)
- Basher and Bubble Basher now are hostile if attacked from afar.
- Breach in the Wall room is now inaccessible initially after crossing the Colossal Bridge to avoid needless frustration.
- Minor level design changes in the Desert and Capital.

FEATURES:

High damage attacks on Dandara now screen shake.


BUG FIXES:

- Wall Siblings do not die mysteriously some time after attacked by an Anxiety Shock and going to the sides.
- Basher and Bubble basher weird animation bug fixed.
- Damage bug that can kill Dandara in rare situations after walking through doors is now fixed.
- Sound fixes around the Salt.
