This week, I (Christian) and Simon have worked on the vehicle improvements. Simon has also fixed a lot of the crash issues that have been reported, and these are currently in the hands of the testers for final checks. The update should be coming to beta next week.

Kristian has worked on texturing, UV mapping, and rigging a few more production units for sorting metal ores and other tasks. He has also gone through and organized all of the bug reports, while supporting Ola and Alfred when needed.

Ola and Alfred have spent the entire week preparing the secret project for internal testing. We’re really looking forward to showing this to everyone once it’s ready, but we don’t want to reveal anything before we know it works and is fully playable!

NCORE - GodForbid_I_do

One more element of customization is the gladiator cards. They are your signature cards showing off your skill.

For now, they’re a simple static image, but we plan on significantly expanding their look and functionality — adding animations and the ability to change its frame and background, as well as placing your title and achievements.

Opponents who have had the misfortune of being knocked down by you will see your card right before being sent to the Backstage, while others can appreciate it on the statistics screen after the match.

Just like with the emotes, you’ll have one card starting off. Other cards you can get from the in-game store of for completing challenges. To look through the cards and learn how to get them, go to the Personalization tab.

NCORE is still in active development and some details might look different on the next playtests.

  • Light sources now use batteries, transitioning from high illumination to low illumination

User Interface
  • Ability icon display now shows number of uses available

  • Relocated VOIP active icon so it no longer disappears with inventory

General
  • Fixed investigators being able to take out and use ability items while performing actions such as rope climbing, ziplining, etc.

  • Hearing rain in the kayak caves while kayaking

  • Using the back button in single-player lobby caused UI to disappear

  • Coming off the hill early at the subterranean cave leading to the trailer could cause players to get stuck floating over the wall

  • Rune on rock at ruins was hard to see

  • Fixed missing werewolf tunnel in subterranean cave

We've deployed a new patch to address community feedback:


General
  • Adjusted the spawn rate of electrical components inside houses according to the difficulty level of the case.

Adjusted case distribution for new players. In Amateur Mode, players will now encounter abandoned houses with functional fuse boxes. The frequency of abandoned houses has also been rebalanced across difficulty levels.

Cats
  • Reworked cat navigation. The cat now reliably leads players to the target item, ensuring it reaches the destination.

The team noticed that our little cat was not guiding players effectively. The cat’s navigation has been reworked to run ahead and lead players to items. Items within range now emit a glow for better visibility.


Tools
EMF
  • Added the ability to detect Level 5 EMF evidence when using the EMF Reader.

Improved EMF Reader performance. It can now detect ghosts with EMF Level 5 evidence when they pass near a player holding and activating the device.

Motion Camera
  • Improved the visual feedback when collecting evidence using the Motion Camera.

  • The Motion Camera can no longer be used while the ghost is actively hunting.

Improved evidence detection clarity. Ghosts without evidence will no longer appear on the camera, even during hunts.

Voice Recorder

Added descriptions explaining how to gather evidence using this tool.

Dowsing
  • Improved the detection system for cursed objects.

    • The Dowsing tool now vibrates when a cursed object is in the same room as the player.

    • When the player aims the Dowsing tool at the cursed object, it emits a glowing effect to confirm detection.

Based on feedback that cursed objects were difficult to locate, the detection system has been updated. When a cursed object is within the same room as the player, the device emits a light vibration. If the player aims at the object, the tool vibrates more strongly and glows to confirm detection.

Imprison Camera
  • Reduced the camera focus time for faster operation.

After adjusting ghost movement speed, the Spirit Camera has been made easier to use. The camera’s focus time has been reduced for quicker operation.

Crucifix
  • Improved the visual feedback when using the Crucifix.

  • The Crucifix now creates a protective radius around the user, though it is not as effective as directly aiming at the ghost.

During ghost hunts, surviving with the Crucifix was still difficult. It now generates a protective radius around the user, affecting nearby ghosts to a certain degree. The visual indicator for remaining Crucifix energy has also been improved.

Crowbar
  • Crowbar has been removed from the free tools in the tent.

  • Crowbar is now a locked tool, unlockable at level 14.

  • Crowbar can be purchased from the in-game shop for $50.

The team noticed that crowbars placed in the tent did not clearly communicate to players that they could be used. Crowbars have now been added to the purchase and loadout system, ensuring players understand they can use them during cases.

Function: Players can use the crowbar to break a locked door (except the main house door).

Fuse
  • Fuse is now a locked tool, unlockable at level 18.

  • Fuse can be purchased from the in-game shop for $25.

Fuse have now been added to the purchase and loadout system, which can be placed into fuse boxes to restore power to abandoned houses that have a fuse box but no fuse installed.


Bloodstain
  • Bloodstains now persist indefinitely but are limited to a maximum of 10 spots.

Players often found bloodstains before being ready to perform exorcisms, and returning later they had disappeared. Bloodstains will now persist, though the total number is limited.

Evidence Indicator
  • Added a system to display evidence locations for players in Beginner difficulty, helping them easily identify discovered evidence.

Added a visual indicator system in Amateur Mode. When players find evidence, a marker shows its location clearly.

Ghost
  • Added a Haunting Level system

Adjusted ghost difficulty. Ghosts’ abilities now scale according to their Haunting Level to provide a smoother experience for new players. The amount of obtainable evidence has also been increased in Beginner Mode.

Ancient Coin
  • Added a system where players can receive Ancient Coins after successfully exorcising a ghost.

Obtaining Ancient Coins was previously too difficult. The requirement to exorcise ghosts before earning Ancient Coins has been removed. Players now receive Ancient Coins based on the ghost’s Haunting Level after a successful exorcism.

Recruit

Adjusted employee name randomization to better match gender.

Bug Fix
  • Fixed ghost lighting not being hidden at the start of the game.

  • Reduced volume when encountering other players.

  • Fixed incorrect display of Ancient Coin count on the display cabinet.

  • Fixed fireplace appearing outside of the house.
