This update primarily focuses on fixing some issues and adding more QOL updates. Initially, I didn't plan to add anything new to maintain stability, but I'm curious to see everyone's reaction to this tower, so…


New Feature!
  • Giant Dice Tower: A 20-sided 2x2 dice tower, where the number you roll determines its attack speed! A roll of 20 on the Giant Dice Tower results in crazy DPS (and a little celebration!), but rolling a 1... even recycling it will be a problem.
Gameplay Improvements
  • Completed the Japanese translation of the recent additions to the demo version.
  • When constructing a tower on a range buff tile, the increased range will now be displayed.
  • Towers that cannot or do not need to set priority targets will no longer have a target selection menu.
  • Changed the keyboard number keys for building turrets.
Balance Adjustments
  • Slightly enhanced some relics with weaker effects:

    • Wealth Vault: At the start of each round, you earn interest equal to [5% → 10%] of your current gold.
    • Royal Command: Recover 3 health points for the fire source when passing a level, but limits your preparation time to [15 → 25] seconds.
    • Flamekeeper's guard: At the end of a level, if you receive [1 point → 3 points or less] of damage throughout the battle, recover 1 life point.
    • Adventurer's Legacy: You receive an additional [15 → 20] gold coins at the start of each level.
    • Chaos Transmuter: At the end of each wave, [3 → 5] of your towers will randomly transform into another tower of the same size..
      (Actually, this relic wasn't particularly weak, but many players said it was fun, so I made it even more RNG!)
Bug Fixes
  • Fixed an issue where the "Chaos Transmuter" sometimes did not transform the correct number of towers.
  • Fixed an UI issue with the route display on the map page.
  • Resolved an issue where adjusting window size in windowed mode would revert upon scene switch.

Fury Race Survivor - Croog Hook
After 9 months of development, we are ready to present you our brainchild - Fury Race demo is available for public access!

Fury Race is a racing roguelite auto-shooter in a post-apocalyptic setting. You are one of the last survivors in a world destroyed by artificial intelligence. Fight hordes of speedy killer robots, improve your car and remember that death in Fury Race is just a lesson in survival.

The Demo features approximately 10% of the final content.

Demo Content

The build contains several levels from different stages of the game, some weapons of varying rarity and about half of the ability cards. The meta-progression is limited to about an hour of play, but you can look for new ways to destroy enemies, experiment with the physics of the machine and unlock new combinations of guns.

Future plans

The next stage of the game's development is Early Access. After we receive feedback from the demo version and make appropriate adjustments to the balance, content and stability of the game, we plan to hold a pre-release open beta with further development and bringing the game to a full release with community support.

Let's School Beta Testing Branch Update Notice

Dear headmasters!

We appreciate all the help and support from everyone during the month-long Beta testing marathon!
The team has made numerous changes according to the player feedback, and is ready to deploy the new content to the default build in about a week, right before the Lunar New Year. For players who're currently playing the Beta branch, you'll be able to transfer all your saves to the default branch without an issue :)

【Optimizations】

Club system adjustments: clubs now no longer require standalone basketball courts and singing stages. You can use general school facilities that already exist.

【Added】

School wonder activities: allow players to obtain knowledge points via school wonders.

【Bug Fixes】

Fixed an issue where new curriculum cannot be unlocked (the last three added courses of each major subject cannot be unlocked properly).

· Crash Fist - Shocked (Duan Xuan Sect, Incarnation Phase): HP Cost 8/9/10→8/8/8; 10/17/24 ATK →10/16/22 ATK

· Gather Intense Force (Duan Xuan Sect, Incarnation Phase): Force +4/5/6→3/4/5

Immortal Fate Adjustments:

· Curiosity (Lin Xiaoyue, Initial Immortal Fate): When your Exchange Card Chance is up, you will exchange a random surprise card and add 1 Exchange Card Chance (Up to 9 times)
Cat Teaser:Exchange Card Chance +3/6/12→1/2/4

Dev: Curiosity makes players reluctant to use it, feeling like it wastes the Exchange Card Chance in some situations,. But how can a cat resist? Therefore, we've made it so that Curiosity no longer wastes the Exchange Card Chance and introduced a playful mechanic that makes the cat unable to resist triggering Curiosity continuously. As Curiosity now provides Exchange Card Chance, the Cat Teaser has been adjusted to a standard level and is no longer compensating for the consumption of Exchange Card Chances by Curiosity.

· Rotary Divination Hexagram (Yao Ling, Immortality Phase): Hexagram+3/4/5→4/5/6; Opponent lose 4/5/6→2/3/4 HP

· Secret Seal Affinity (Nangong Sheng, Initial Immortal Fate):Initial Immortal Fate no longer reduces MAX HP by 2

· Unceasing Exercising (Xiao Bu, Foundation Phase): HP + 4/6/8→3/4/5

Dev: Before the last adjustment, Soul Seizing was relatively dominant in lower MMR segments, while in higher MMR segments, it did not significantly outperform other decks. Therefore, we weakened Unwavering Soul at that time and continued to observe. After the last adjustment, the usage rate and win rate of Realm-Killing Palms have normalized, but both Soul Seizing and the usage of Force combos have increased across all MMR segments. Hence, we have decided to further adjust Debuff combos and Force combos. Additionally, to increase the diversity of the meta, we have strengthened some characters with lower usage rates, hoping to bring more variety.

Balance adjustments are an ongoing and dynamic process. As new decks are created and player skill levels improve, perspectives on balance changes. We will keep track of changes in the meta and make adjustments accordingly. Moreover, data is not the sole criterion; cold data can not fully capture the true gaming experience. Even cards with average win rates should be adjusted if they significantly impact the gaming experience. After all, playing games is about having a fun experience, not just achieving balance based on data. Therefore, we encourage everyone to provide timely feedback on real gaming experiences, as well as any bugs or issues encountered through Discord, TapTap, QQ, to help us understand more perspectives and content beyond data and make Divine Chess more enjoyable together.
