After the recent hotfix, some of you reported an issue where the F interaction key stopped working correctly in crafting stations or partially at the vendors. This prevented players from using these features as intended.
We’ve now deployed a fix addressing this problem.

Announcing downloadable content for Mothers and Daughters.
In the base game, Max lives with his Mom between Maria Thomas and Victoria Wilson.
In the two new DLCs, Max's home is much further away, and to save him a lengthy commute or a cramped college dorm room, his Mom has arranged for him to stay with either Maria or Victoria (depending on the DLC).
The main story remains the same, but rather than quiet, innocent scenes with his Mom, he now has more opportunities with Maria, Karla, Caprice, Victoria, and Catherine, depending on which version you play.
The primary focus of the Wilson DLC is Victoria, while the Thomas DLC focuses on Maria. However, there are changes or additional scenes with the respective daughters.
I know not everyone likes DLCs, and you don't need these to play the game. They are purely optional and only change scenes with the characters mentioned. They are also a way for players who wish to support the game a little bit more than they already have.
What happens to Max's Mom with these DLCs?
She is still referenced, and the picture of her and Max is still the default on the PC at the start of the game. She'll unlikely make an appearance outside of being referenced by other characters, as the point of the DLC is to allow Max to further his relationship with Maria, Victoria, and their daughters.
These DLCs are available to wishlist on Steam, and adding them to your wishlist indicates to Steam that players are interested; the algorithm will then promote them to other players.
For anyone who might be curious. I haven't spent the last few weeks working on these; I have been working on the engine update as announced. These were planned to be released several months ago, but I delayed due to all the collective shout issues.
Customizable walls in different colors have been added to the game with the early access 0.4.8 version.
A new Weekly Challenge is now available!
Each week, the game generates a new set of randomized galaxy settings and rules shared across all players. Your challenge seed changes automatically every Monday, so everyone in the world faces the same scenario for that week.
Think you can finish faster than others? Share your fastest victory screenshots in the [c]#weekly-challenge[/c] channel on our Discord.
All ships have been rebalanced with new attack, damage, armor, and shield values and two abilities have been updated:
Invader now spends all action points when colonizing planets.
Oracle now provides shields to adjacent non-carrier ships, making it a valuable fleet support vessel.
We’ve reworked the station and ship build menus so they no longer require scrolling, keeping all build options visible at a glance. Menus have also been moved to the left side of the screen closer to tooltips for faster access and a more cohesive layout.
Added “Disband Ship” button for better fleet management.
Improved AI early-game shipbuilding and movement efficiency.
Added gradients to faction logos.
Added “No more techs available” message in the research menu.
Improved tooltip placement.
Added playtest signup link in the main menu.
Fixed Decentralized Shielding tech not appearing.
Fixed navigation crash.
Thank you to everyone testing, sharing feedback, and helping Astro Protocol grow with every update.
See you among the stars!
