In our first content update, we wanted to give some love to the animals, props, and relationships. Animals will now arrive in your town sporting various colors, some common, some rare. They will also have different sizes depending on their age, so prepare to see some kittens roaming around.
A highly requested feature is prop stacking, which you can now do! Now go make some weird stuff and show it off in the Discord. We love to see it.

Villagers will now also have more relationship status labels besides romantic ones, such as friend, best friend, enemy, rival, and acquaintance. This all depends on the level of the relationship they are.
We hope you enjoy this update! We will be sending out hotfixes over the next week addressing any issues, but meanwhile we will be working on our first MAJOR update coming soon...Is it cold in here or what?

Hello everyone!
Update 0.5 is now live! Today's update brings a new feature for those that want to be a little more active in your stores - customer recommendations! We're also bringing you new books, some new plants, quality of life improvements, and fixes!
Some customers, upon entering your store, will be open to being recommended a book. Customers who are open to this will show their favorite genres in a popup similar to the legendary powerups. Simply select the customer and tell them you will recommend a book for them. They will then wait for you to return with a book that matches their preferences. You may only help one customer at a time. Recommending can only be done when customers are wandering around the store (and not heading to check out). Successfully recommending a book to a customer will provide a small tip on top of them adding the book to their purchases.
We're bringing you another 7 new books which can be found in the license tab ready to be unlocked.
We're also bringing you an additional 3 new plants to make your shops a little more green. These now work similar to the Halloween decorations so they are freely placeable on floors or tables as you see fit. The existing monstera plant has also been converted to work in the same fashion but only for newly purchased plants. Existing ones will need to be sold and bought again to be the new type.
As always, we're also bringing a number of quality of life and bug fixes. You can check out the full change log below!
Added:
- Customer recommendations
- New plants: Shrub, Bird of paradise, Thuja
- 7 new books
- Used boxes now show how many legendaries from that box you own
- f10 will pause the game in any screen if you are stuck (save + load should reset your position)
- Player exp bar to see your current level progression
Changed:
- Monstera now a free-placable item (newly purchased monstera plants only)
- Increase sale price tolerance for candy, comic books, and manga
- Used boxes now open specific to their box type, not your current location (you can carry legendaries from one location to another)
- Make tutorial wording easier to understand
- Tweaked passive income legendary calculations
Fixed:
- Rare case when stockers took used books before they hit the ground causing them to improperly be inserted into shelves
- Rare case when all apps did not unlock
- End of day screen stuck (esc/enter now close EoD screen)
- German text showing non-German (thank you community user)
- Certain items staying unlocked between shop locations
- Rare case of customers/employees moving when paused
- Cats stuck hovering in Japan
- Fixed some cases of stockers getting stuck

Wild Ones,
Thank you so much for bringing your joy, passion, and creativity to our Early Access launch! Weâve been listening closely to your feedback and wanted to share what weâre actively working on to address the top community concerns. Though our team is small, weâve set aggressive goals and timelines to improve your experience playing Wildcard.
Here are some of the things we are currently working on:
1. Lobbies Enabled
Many of you have requested this feature, and guess what? This one is actually already done! Friends and livestream viewers alike can join you in the arena. With your lobby code in hand, feel free to run your own community events, tournaments, and WILD matchups!
2. Smart Queue System
Letâs say goodbye to stompy matches. Adios! Our team is improving the queue system so that players can find more balanced matches. New players face bots first, gradually increasing in difficulty, then transition naturally into matches with real players. Weâre determined to keep matches fair, fun, and competitive for everyone.
3. Bot ImprovementsÂ
Bots are getting a serious upgrade. Expect smarter pathing, better use of abilities and summons, and scaling difficulty tiers that actually feel meaningful. Whether youâre learning or practicing, bots will now provide a much better gameplay experience.
4. New Progression Systems
Weâve heard you love Wildcard - but we know you want more of it! Progression is getting a full rework. We will be adding broader systems for account progression and per-Champion progression, giving players more reasons and rewards to keep playing their favorite Champions or try out a new one!
5. Ranked & Leaderboards
Our intention has always been to add ranked play to Wildcard - we know you, competitive players, want a place to sweat it out for glory! Exact dates for this feature are dependent on further improvements, but in the meantime, weâre adding leaderboards that celebrate top performance AND offer rewards for progress. Whether youâre chasing wins, style, or mastery, thereâll be a place to show it off.
6. More Events!
During Wildcard Game Nights on Wednesday and Friday, you will only face off against other players and will receive 10X the fame during these windows!
7. New Player Experience
Adding to the success of our new intro videos, weâll be updating the onboarding flow so new players can more easily master the fundamentals, understand what makes Wildcard unique, and feel set up for success from their first moments in the arena.Â
8. Summon Learning Scenarios
Weâre adding an interactive learning mode to introduce players to each base summon. Youâll face them 1-on-1, learn their abilities, then unlock that summon for your decks. Itâs a hands-on way to learn and collect as you play.
9. The Trials
Once all Summon Learning Scenarios are complete, a brand-new mode unlocks: The Trials.
Team up with friends to take on waves of enemies, test your strategies, and push your limits together. More details to come as we get closer, but itâs already shaping up to be one of our most replayable and stream-friendly modes yet.
Thank you all again for joining us on this journey!
The Wildcard community has been the backbone of this project since day one. Your support, feedback, and love for the game keep us building, improving, and dreaming bigger. These updates are all aimed at making sure you can play reliably, learn clearly, and grow endlessly within Wildcard.
Stay tuned, the next few weeks are going to be exciting!
Weâll see you in the arena!Â
â The Wildcard Team

- Â Fixed soulstone summoning not adding a obtained date to save
- Â Added an obtained date filter in the creature selector
- Â Added a obtained date to the tooltip of creatures
- Â Added a dropdown so that you can choose what the auto-craft target is for potions instead of it just being mana potions
- Â Change Creature Capacity Max Upgrade from 4 to 50
- Â Change Charisma max upgrade from 4 to 5
- Â Change Athletics max upgrade from 4 to 5
- Â Change Experienced Mining max upgrade from 4 to 5
- Â Change Fast Learner max upgrade from 4 to 5
- Â Change the color mapping for spirit positive/negatives in the spirit codex
- Â Added creature images to the creature codex
- Â Fixed creature codex so that things align properly and dulled out the rarity so the types pop more
- Â Completely overhauled the Collection Log, including adding filters and easier tracking of different goals
- Â Changed 'Precision Miner' achievement from needing exactly 10,000 rocks to just greater than or equal to 10,000 rocks
- Â Changed the wording on the 'Nothing Left' achievement due to increasing the amount of upgrades (you won't need all of them, just a lot of them)
- Â Changed wording of 'Weakling' achievement to align with what it is in-game
Note: It was brought to my attention that there's a bug with golden borders not appearing around the normal creature if you have perfect genetics in the collection log. That'll be fixed in the next patch, along with a new addition that will keep track of all the perfects you find so that you can freely release them and retain the golden border.
Released November 15, 2025
The coven has been poking buttons, petting dogs, drinking potions, and accidentally summoning bugs, so we cleaned things up. Here is what changed.
âš The QUICK REPLAY button now blasts you straight into a new run and skips menus.
đ Retry also skips menus so you get yeeted back into the action faster.
đș End game screens now always let you peek at your loadout.
đ” Added a Potions Checkbox. A tiny sip after every fight if you want it. A treat. No trophies.
đ¶ DEMON PUPPY HAT joins the coven as an easy mode reward after your first death. RNG is softened. Not silenced.
𩮠Big Bone now gives all allies +2 shield. Corrupted gives +3.
â€ïž Romance Novel buffed. Enemies only heal for 1 instead of 7.
đ Better handling of Achievements when connection to Steam is lost. Fixed some unachievable Achievements.
đ€ Your last worn hat now loads when you abandon or die or win. Fashion persists.
â Fixed petting breaking forever if you swapped parts mid pet. Pet in peace.
đ Fixed the corrupted prism ring plus barking plus corrupted unicorn wand combo not guaranteeing duplicates and many other odd little gremlins.
The cauldron is bubbling happily. Go cause trouble.
Hey everyone! Hope you've all been well! This time we're hitting you with something a bit different: We have a few new things up in the air for new content, but some of you might have seen the most recent security patch for Unity that came around a little bit ago. Now this isn't super duper horrible for the case of Typing Simulator (we don't really store any data about you so there isn't all that much to leak) but out of an abundance of caution we're releasing this update with the patch applied to cover all of our collective bases.
Now this update meant that we had to jump up a number of Unity versions to be sure we're patched. This worked out to be just a minor version jump ultimately (if we're all following semantic versioning that is, which is unfortunately a flawed assumption most of the time) , but Unity has a tendency to break everything when doing version upgrades. We jumped up enough versions to introduce bugs with certain internal components, which then had to be patched too, and so on. It should all be working now, but we took a bit extra time with this one just to try to be sure it doesn't give anyone a hard time.
The best way to push out an update like this is to do it in total isolation to make sure it's easy to track what happens and know that nothing else is causing any noise if something goes wrong. But sending out a patch without adding any content is no fun, so we put a little something in anyway. For the first go at implementing a community requested feature, we've added in reminders for stretch breaks. When you've been typing away for over 20 minutes, we pop up a little reminder to make sure you're not on your way to an RSI:

We wait until you're in between drills, so nothing should get interrupted. Shoutouts to Skellybob56 for suggesting this one!
Let us know if you run into any issues at all, and keep the suggestions coming!
