-   Changed the wording on the 'Nothing Left' achievement due to increasing the amount of upgrades (you won't need all of them, just a lot of them)

-   Changed wording of 'Weakling' achievement to align with what it is in-game

Note: It was brought to my attention that there's a bug with golden borders not appearing around the normal creature if you have perfect genetics in the collection log. That'll be fixed in the next patch, along with a new addition that will keep track of all the perfects you find so that you can freely release them and retain the golden border.

The coven has been poking buttons, petting dogs, drinking potions, and accidentally summoning bugs, so we cleaned things up. Here is what changed.

Updates

✨ The QUICK REPLAY button now blasts you straight into a new run and skips menus.

🔁 Retry also skips menus so you get yeeted back into the action faster.

📺 End game screens now always let you peek at your loadout.

🍵 Added a Potions Checkbox. A tiny sip after every fight if you want it. A treat. No trophies.

🐶 DEMON PUPPY HAT joins the coven as an easy mode reward after your first death. RNG is softened. Not silenced.

🦴 Big Bone now gives all allies +2 shield. Corrupted gives +3.

❤️ Romance Novel buffed. Enemies only heal for 1 instead of 7.

📜 Better handling of Achievements when connection to Steam is lost. Fixed some unachievable Achievements.

🤠 Your last worn hat now loads when you abandon or die or win. Fashion persists.

Bug Fixes

✋ Fixed petting breaking forever if you swapped parts mid pet. Pet in peace.

🐞 Fixed the corrupted prism ring plus barking plus corrupted unicorn wand combo not guaranteeing duplicates and many other odd little gremlins.

The cauldron is bubbling happily. Go cause trouble.

Typing Simulator - Big Nerd

Hey everyone! Hope you've all been well! This time we're hitting you with something a bit different: We have a few new things up in the air for new content, but some of you might have seen the most recent security patch for Unity that came around a little bit ago. Now this isn't super duper horrible for the case of Typing Simulator (we don't really store any data about you so there isn't all that much to leak) but out of an abundance of caution we're releasing this update with the patch applied to cover all of our collective bases.

Now this update meant that we had to jump up a number of Unity versions to be sure we're patched. This worked out to be just a minor version jump ultimately (if we're all following semantic versioning that is, which is unfortunately a flawed assumption most of the time) , but Unity has a tendency to break everything when doing version upgrades. We jumped up enough versions to introduce bugs with certain internal components, which then had to be patched too, and so on. It should all be working now, but we took a bit extra time with this one just to try to be sure it doesn't give anyone a hard time.

The best way to push out an update like this is to do it in total isolation to make sure it's easy to track what happens and know that nothing else is causing any noise if something goes wrong. But sending out a patch without adding any content is no fun, so we put a little something in anyway. For the first go at implementing a community requested feature, we've added in reminders for stretch breaks. When you've been typing away for over 20 minutes, we pop up a little reminder to make sure you're not on your way to an RSI:

This is an announcement for our next Japanese-Style Tiengow Multiplayer Match Event.

  • Death animations on some enemies based on the type of attack that killed them! Note that not all enemies have this yet, the animators are currently working on this. This is most notably seen on the zombie enemies! You can also seem some types on the wisp enemies.
  • New candle item! This is a permanent item like the holy water that has a cooldown. It shoots out fire in a circle around you, which may burn foes. This is found in normal green chests.
  • Animated cameras! This makes everything feel nicer, and is in 1-player and 2-player mode.
  • Spike traps are now randomized, they don't all go at the exact same time anymore.
  • On level up in 2-player mode it now shows which player has leveled up on the screen
  • Elder Gargoyle laughs on the game over screen
  • New (much needed) game over screens for individual players in 2-player mode. This is for when they run out of lives and are not yet revived by a fairy, but the other player is still alive.
  • Updated the green chests to hold these four items of equal chance: health potion, magic potion, candle, and boomerang.
  • Disabled being able to drop an item if it's in a cooldown state (holy water item, new candle item)
  • Nerfed Gaya a bit with dropping the vine meter a bit more on vines she creates while moving, and also the vine meter generates a tiny bit slower.
  • Lots of other small quality of life changes

Big Bugs Squashed!
  • If a player died but leveled up in that death state, there was a chance they'd be stuck. Now it's fixed!
  • In 2-player mode if both players leveled up at the exact same frame, it would cause some conflict with states and viewing the skills. Now it's fixed!
  • In 2-player mode if p1 died while p2 was down the stairs already, p2 would have a broken camera. Now it's fixed!
  • Apologies for that last bug, it's been around for too long and messed with some great 2-player games. It took me a while to track down, then I ended up redoing how the cameras worked so it's nicer overall now.

Hello Squaddies,

We've released Hotfix 1 patch for Update 10.0. This is a client-side only update, so please restart your client to receive the update.

  • Performance optimizations to reduce hitching during gameplay for systems with 8GB or less of VRAM.

You may experience some textures and LODS taking longer to load in, it can take up to a minute for this to complete, but we decided this was better than the 'hitching' that players were experiencing before. We will continue to monitor the situation!
