Welcome to the fourth post-launch patch for Unfair Flips! I finally sorted out that save corruption issue. Changes marked with ๐ช are community suggestions!
Added an extra layer of backups to the savegame system! Now, hopefully, the game should be able to better handle save corruption issues, as only one file is ever touched at a time. Thank you to everyone who sent in bug reports on this issue!
๐ช Added unique SFX to each of the shop options! This gives the game a little more texture, and makes it easier to differentiate what's going on by sound alone.
Also, I'm excited to report that Unfair Flips has finally passed 1,000 reviews!! At 92% positive!!! That's huge!!! Thank you to everyone who left a review of the game. And also thank you to everyone who played the game but didn't review it. I appreciate you too. <3

Fixed issue where only one customer, with a unhealthy obsession with axes, seemed to be interested in visiting player shops. Everyone got the memo now and will be visiting your shop.

New big update is here โ a mix of things I promised, and a few extras that snuck in along the way. Thanks again for all your support and ideas โ this project has grown a lot thanks to you!
You can now open your own charity foundation! Itโll collect donations and support good causes... or help you quietly lower your taxes and move money around. Depends on how you want to play it.

There's now an art market, where you can invest in paintings and sculptures. Some of them can gain a lot of value over time โ or not. It's a gamble!

New Prestige stat that tracks your overall status โ from real estate to art to stocks. Right now itโs mostly for achievements, but Iโll be using it more in future updates.

A new pachinko machine has been added โ good luck!

New setting: you can now choose to auto-stop time at the start of weekdays, weekends, or every day.
Stock market days now end based on your total influence in a company (not just how many shares you bought). Should help a lot with big companies.
Also, the money display system was updated โ now supports amounts way bigger than a trillion.
Expense sliders are now easier to use.
Projects now give your company more reserve cash.
Added a Stats tab to help you track company progress over time โ and prep for future features.

The โinvite to shareholder meetingโ checkbox now works again.
Red X case in the UFO machine is now counted properly.
UFO machine sound now respects your volume settings (sorry if it was loud before ๐ ).
Tons of smaller fixes โ including some missing localization lines that are now back.
Thatโs it for now! Some stuff I originally planned for 0.8 still needs time, but Iโm aiming to finish it all by the end of the year โ including mod support, a real tutorial, and tasks from your board of directors.

ยท Fixed tower villager "tooting" the horn with the defensive command instead of the offensive one;

ยท Fixed a bug that would cause structure doors to become untraversable by NPCs. Manifested as villagers getting stuck outside Cottages / Chieftains Houses;
ยท Fixed a pathfinding bug that would cause villagers to not move anymore in seemingly random circumstances unless they were interacted with by the player (talking to them);
ยท Fixed a pathfinding bug that would cause villagers to very slowly "stutter-step" to their destinations;

ยท Golem age attribute has been replaced with a "Lifetime" that depletes over time;

ยท Cheese has been buffed: it now replenishes more hunger;
