We would like to inform you about the latest update that was implemented on Wendesday, November 5.

New Contents

  • The following new songs have been added:

    • Standard Songs

      • “AOKU” by Parang

      • “サバ!サマー!サンバ!” by MendoZID

      • “Future Cαndy” by YUC’e

    • Unlockable Songs via ‘Research Notes’

      • “Revolution” by BilliumMoto

  • New missions will be added to the following ‘Research Notes’ entry:

    • “PLATiNA SELECTION 1” — Added 1 more mission.

      • Even if the entry was previously completed, the newly added missions after the update must be completed separately for the entry to be considered complete.

      • The previously accumulated progress of individual missions will not be affected.

Adjustments and improvements
  • Added a recommended message for “Verify Integrity of game files” to the error message pop-up displayed upon the failure to load a song or pattern.

  • Improved the overall texture quality of the Character Live2D models.

Bug Fixes
  • Fixed an issue where the earned P.A.T.C.H. Points for certain patterns were incorrectly displayed as being approximately 0.01 points lower than the actual value under specific circumstances.

    • It is confirmed that this issue was solely confined to the client-side display, without affecting the actual recorded data or player progression. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused.

  • Fixed an issue where the MISS judgment zones were inaccurately recorded on the Section Gauge when playing with the ‘Shoreline’ Device Skin equipped.

  • Fixed an issue where the shortcut keys used to toggle the activation status of various sound effects in the Play Options menu were improperly assigned.

  • Fixed an issue where the Character Live2D models used in the screen transition effect would persist in the letterbox area when running the game on displays with non-16:9 aspect ratios.

  • Fixed an issue where the Character Live2D model was abnormally exposed during the initial debut sequence for the song “기억의 경계”.

Some small fixes for bugs reported since the release. Thank you to everyone trying out the game and reporting these bugs!

  • Changed default music volume to 30%

Bugs Fixes
  • Fixed an issue where the resolution would be wrong on first launch

  • Fixed an issue where vsync would be disabled on first launch even though settings would show it as enabled

  • Fixed an issue where the Longhorn Meeting (Find a secret hidden in the tutorial) achievement would not unlock properly

  • Fixed an issue where respawning at certain stages of the tutorial would cause the player to fall through the map or spawn higher than intended

  • Fixed an issue where the replay tutorial button would be shown even though the tutorial hadn't been completed yet

Good day, everyone! We're rolling out a quick hotfix to address a critical issue and implement further refinements to the dialogue system.

Key Fixes
Reticule Visibility Fix
: We have resolved a bug where the reticule would fail to appear upon starting a new game. Previously, the reticule would only appear after switching from 3rd-person to Top-down Tactical mode and back. It should now appear correctly and immediately when starting the game.

Dialogue System Improvements
We continue to enhance the new Context Chat feature based on player feedback:

Improved Bubble Sizing
: The chat dialogue bubbles have been further improved and are now more accurately adjusted to fit the size of the text within them (addressing the issues we discussed previously!).

Expanded Dialogue
: Several new dialogues have been added to provide more context and character insight during exploration and combat.

Perpetual Black Bubble Fixed
: We have successfully fixed a significant bug that caused a perpetual black dialogue bubble to appear on screen for some players.

Hey again zomboarders!

It's been another busy month of changes and additions! I hope you had a great Halloween and also hope you've been having fun with the demo since the last update. This update brings some more major changes that will shake things up and maybe even help some of you complete your runs!

Here's the changelog for 11-04-25 (1.7.22+7f6c4b84):

Additions:
  • New feature: Drinks! These are consumables which will give you a temporary buff until you enter the helicopter again. Starting out, these are the drinks available during a run:

    • Moon Cola - Lowers gravity

    • EMPulse - Turrets will ignore you

    • Twin Points - Doubles base points for tricks

    • Twist Ahh - Doubles air spin speed

    But be warned, drinks don't re-appear in the shop after you use them, so use them wisely!

  • Added Bail SFX to Shop and Customizer. If you're old and hate fun then congrats, the default bail sound effects are generic grunts and oofs. But if you're young and love fun like me then congrats, you can get the old bail sound effects back and equip them in the customization screen!

Fixes
  • Fixed Medium Tricks incorrectly giving Short Trick points. Medium tricks are actually useful now!

  • Fixed score not resetting under certain circumstances and various score calculation errors

  • Fixed inaccessible settings in menu with controller

  • Fixed Go button not reselecting when deselected

  • Fixed volume on social buttons (sorry to any headphones users before I fixed this)

  • Fixed unresponsive color picker buttons in the customizer

  • Fixed an issue where you could do another chainsaw attack while performing a chainsaw attack

  • Fixed a multitude of issues in the tutorial stemming from various regressions

  • Fixed a UI quirk where hovering the mouse over an element and then using the keyboard would have both the selected and highlighted elements animated at the same time. The cursor will now automatically move off-screen when keyboard or joypad input is detected

Changes
  • Debuffed Timber Tango from +10 mult to +3 mult for balancing

  • Changed Chainsaw Attack from waggling left and right to a single button charge mechanic

  • Changed chainsaw VFX + SFX for the new charge mechanic

  • Controls menu in the options now includes a Chainsaw Button and Drink button (LB and RB by default for controllers, CTRL and M by default for keyboard)

  • You can now control how long you chainsaw with how long you hold the chainsaw button

  • Chainsawing state now reduces your steering to balance out really long chainsaw attacks

  • Switched to Cinemachine for camera control. Camera will now smoothly orbit the player.

  • Changed Shop UI and UX for an overall better experience

  • Added a control reset prompt between major updates. When you start the game after a major control scheme change, you'll be notified that your controls will be reset to default to prevent issues

  • Chainsawing with zombies attached defaults to max chainsaw time

  • Updated controller visuals and chainsaw reminder graphic

  • Changed shop UI to include drinks and make the overall experience better

  • Minor optimizations to character models

  • Previous/Next song buttons moved to pressing L3/R3 on gamepads by default

Removals
  • Removed Pizza Delivery Challenge (pending a rework; this challenge just wasn't very fun)

  • Removed "Training Wheels Off" cheat from the shop (this wasn't supposed to go into the build)

  • Removed Bait Perk (since you can now use extra cash to increase your start mult instead, might rework and bring back later)

  • Removed the chainsaw attack tip in the loading screen since it's bound to a button now
