BALANCING / IMPROVEMENTS
  • No balancing changes were made in this update.

BUG FIXES
  • We fixed an issue where the link to Support directed players to a dead page. Players will now be directed to our contact page.
  • Players reported an issue where if they did not select the “Rematch” option on the After Match Summary screen before the timer runs out, they’d be stuck on that screen. We fixed that for you!
  • We realized that Traitor Credits were no longer working in Custom games, so we went ahead and fixed that, too!
  • We also fixed a tricky bug where the Traitor’s Eject ability on the Dig Site objective would cause the player-held part to drop and then not be able to be picked up again!
  • We fixed an issue where items dragged from a crate and dropped outside the player’s UI would not appear on the ground, and therefore, essentially disappear.
  • We fixed an issue where players couldn’t aim when throwing an object while inside the Power Station.
  • We noticed the Disintegrator wasn’t removing any items from the Smoke Signal objective, so we fixed that.
  • We fixed an issue where if you tried to pick up an item while in the Disguise Kit animation, you would become temporarily locked in place.
  • We fixed an issue where Proximity Text chat and the Radio Text chat would overlap if a new message was received while having the opposite tab open.
  • We fixed an issue for mouse & keyboard users where the Radio key bind read “mouse button 5” instead of the actual key bind.
  • Some players reported an unexpected game crash when loading into their second match of the session. We fixed this.
In the Cabin Fever game mode:
  • A second escape is supposed to be called automatically after the first one leaves. We noticed this wasn’t happening and fixed it.
  • The Abstain vote button is supposed to trigger a 3-second cooldown. This wasn’t happening, so we fixed it.
  • Players were able to press the E interaction button to remove resources from the objective. That was not intentional, so we removed that function.
  • The Food option for ghosts was still present, which made no sense since Hunger is not a survival element in this game mode, so we removed that.
  • The camera movement when entering/exiting some bunkers was strange and shaky; we made this smoother!

Cosmetics
  • This patch includes changes to support new cosmetics.

We have unvaulted the cave skull hat (black), black cloak w/ the hood down, the wilderness jacket, and snowboard boots!

We have also rolled out the following cosmetics for the next month:

  • picnic basket backpack (pink)
  • potted pumpkin backpack (red)
  • wooden sword
  • fairy wings (blue, black, red, green)

To sum things up:

While I have been working on Endless mode & various bugfixes, I had to step away for a bit in order to put out some additional works to keep making rent.

Is Endless mode still coming out? Yes! And I have the time to polish up too, which means tons of new features on top of the aforementioned roguelike system.

Endless Mode will be my main focus from now until it's release, and I will post additional updates in case anything changes in the coming months.

As multiplayer moves closer and closer to a full release, here's another feature which I've made as part of multiplayer that is already ready for release now!

During multiplayer beta testing, it quickly became obvious that players needed a way to put basic labels on freight wagons to show things like cargo and where they are being transported to. Since I've always wanted to add a basic "waybill" system to the game, this was a great opportunity to finally do this before multiplayer gets released.

"Waybills" are a very common tool used in real model railways, it's basically just a piece of paper where people write the origin, destination and cargo of a freight wagon (along with it's roadnumber and other details, and anything else of interest).

These pieces of paper are stored in shelves next to industry sidings and rail yards on the model railway to represent the freight wagons currently parked there. When you drive a train from one yard to another, you would move the waybill along with it and display it in the new spot.

Think of them as a custom digital piece of paper to display information on a freight wagon!

How to use waybills

To enable a waybill on a freight wagon, simply point at it and press "K" (this key toggles whether waybills are visible, and is re-bindable in the controls menu).

And to edit a waybill, open the wagon options menu (point at a wagon and press "O") then choose the "Waybill" menu:

You can also open this menu by pressing the cog icon in the top right corner of the waybill.

From here you can set a bunch of options, like:

  • Setting the text displays (origin, destination and cargo)

  • Changing the text display size

  • Changing how the roadname and roadnumber are displayed

  • Set the waybill color, and provide an alternative color which can be switched to when you swap the origin and destination

  • Copy/Paste all waybill data between wagons

Please keep in mind that these waybills are just visual. Think of them as a piece of paper you can write your own information on. They do not actually represent what is loaded on to the freight wagon.

This means you can use them for whatever you like, it doesn't need to follow the "origin/destination/cargo" format.

Like for example you might just want to put a chemical warning or information label:

Swapping origin/destination

There are a couple of buttons on the waybill to make operations a bit easier.

You can press the "Swap destination" button to toggle the origin and destination test labels, as well as switch between the color and alternative color.

And you can press the "Toggle cargo" button to swap between the cargo display showing the custom name you've set, or just "empty"

For example, when a freight wagon arrives at its destination, you can press the "swap destination" button, then the "Toggle cargo" button, and it will now display as being empty (unloaded) and heading back to it's original destination.

You can also press the two buttons in the top-right corner to copy and paste waybill data between wagons.

And you can paint the waybill color directly:

Other options

You can edit some other options in the "Pause menu -> Gameplay -> Waybills" menu:

You can use the "Show/Hide all waybills" buttons to force enable/disable waybills on every wagon/loco on the save file.

You can also use the "Waybills visible state" option to toggle how they are displayed just visually. This will only visually affect whether they waybills are visible or not and will not change the save file. This is useful if you want to temporarily hide them all to take screenshots, but you still want to keep them visible afterwards.

You can also press F9 to cycle through these visibility options.

Also you can change whether they waybills are displayed as blocks on top of each wagon, or floating UI windows that always face the player:

Multiplayer progress

The multiplayer beta is expanding a lot! Everything is getting really close to the full release. Sorry if this patch arrived a bit later, packaging it took way longer than expected.

Today's patch includes the following fixes:


- Restored Motel Save System and Floppy Disks.
- Fixed Save/Load issues related to the Motel, Iron Gates and Uptown, causing the player to load incorrect info. (You will need to start a new game to clean your saves).
- Moved the Wrench at the Pub to near location to avoid players getting soflocked.
- Fixed an issue with the Acid Bottle, spamming the interaction button would result into softlock.
- Fixed an issue that trapped the player in the Attic Save Room if the player did not kill the spiders.
- Fixed a softlock related to the Wilhelm's Crypt checkpoint preventing the player to progress.
- Fixed a softlock related to the Wilhelm's Crypt breakable wall not saving.
- Fixed a softlock issue related to the clocks in Wilhelm's Manor, the player could get softlocked while examining one of the clocks if the puzzle has been already resolved.
- Fixed an issue with Lion Puzzle that prevents its completion in Wilhelm's Manor.
- Fixed a bug that softblocked the game if you talk to a certain "character" while the "character" is pushing the lever.
- Fixed enemies not being allowed to follow the player in the Cellar Room.
- Fixed the second SMG not being a SMG (It you pick up that SMG don't worry you will be able to keep it, as second fixed SMG has been added in the same spot on the streets)
- Fixed slope collision in the sewers not being precise enough.
- Fixed several world collisions that could make the player stuck and clip out the map in certain places.
- Fixed various pickups.
- Fixed missing collision of a biomass in the Hospital.
- Fixed Seeker footsteps being too loud in the Park.
- Fixed an issue with a zombie bursting through a boarder door in Wilhelm's Manor.
- Balanced SMG ammo.
- Attack rate of Small Creatures has been nerfed.
- Fixed an issue with roller doors, making Liam moonwalking.
- Added an extra line in Octavia's Tutorial warning the player about the Shed Key spawning in a random location in the level.
