Dicey Bizniz Playtest - Surrogate of Sorrow
  • Boss Battles are now optional! You can toggle them on or off in the Scenario Selection scene.
  • Rebalanced several spells and relics for smoother progression.
  • Fixed a handful of minor bugs and visual glitches.

This update should make playtesting a bit more flexible, whether you want a relaxed run or a real challenge, it’s up to you.

Hello Terraformers!

We've just updated a new version (v1.602) on the development branch.
To try it, see the "How to switch branches?" question in the FAQ.

This update mostly adds more biomes to the Toxicity DLC free preview.

Let us know what you like or do not like on those new biomes, how you like the new items and if you have major performances issues.

As usual, restart Steam to get the update, and backup your save before trying the dev branch. All players must have the same version to play co-op. If you have issues launching the game, remove all your mods before reporting bugs.


Temporary changelog :

  • Multiple New biomes.

  • Energy is no more limited because of the toxicity. Instead some machines can't be built untill a given purification level is build. We did this to improve clarity, the old system was too complex.

  • Added a Toxic HUD Chip V2 displaying the nearest goo distance

  • Purification is now part of the overall terraforming value

  • New purification fuse

  • Changes and balancing of crafting recipes

  • Added the number of toxic water generated from a water surface when looking at it.,

  • Fixed issue with screens not displayed in multiplayer.,

  • Fixed purification rocket updating the pressure and not the purification.,

  • Fixed the logistic selector window being too small for all resources to display.,

  • Fixed various issues with toxic water generation.,

  • Fixed purification objects not being available in the Autocrafter.,

  • Fixed multiplayer issue with purification explosives not properly updating the server if some goo was destroyed in a sector not loaded by the server.,

  • Fixed an issue with toxic area volume applied a few seconds even if the area is cleaned.,

  • Trains and elevators are now properly paused when pressing escape and playing alone.,

  • Improved goo mining

  • Players should not respawn anymore in the train after dying.,

  • Removed the system blocking the energy depending on the purification level, now constructions are blocked depending on the purification and terraforming value.,

  • Various environment fixes.,

Thank you to everyone who playtested our game and shared feedback! We received over 200,000 requests to join the Playtest, and we’re working hard to give you the best experience possible.

Fixes and Improvements:

  • Fixed an issue where some players encountered a blank menu screen and couldn’t start the game.

  • Adjusted difficulty balancing for the Spider Monster and Spider Room levels.

  • Fixed several areas where puppies could get stuck.

  • Resolved translation errors and updated incorrect action prompts.

  • Updated the Simplified Chinese translation.

Coming Soon:

  • Online multiplayer is expected to launch tomorrow or the day after!

Gameplay Changes

  • Introduced separate Action Point pools for the Exile and Echo, allowing independent movement and actions per pawn.
  • Action costs are now shown with clear percentage indicators, making it easier to understand how hunger and thirst affect efficiency.
  • Tile yields that have dropped due to depletion are now visibly marked on the tile, giving clearer feedback on overused areas.

UI & Clarity

  • Added an on-startup tip explaining that lower Hunger and Thirst values are better, helping new players understand survival dynamics.

Hello Responders,

Hospital launched one week ago, and player feedback highlighted a few glaring issues that we wanted to address with a hot fix (0.7.0.1). These fixes focus on combat, the legibility of an objective in Beaulieu (in all languages) and an uncommon crash issue.

Bug Fixes

Combat

  • Fixed an issue where hits against zombies would register inconsistently

Gameplay

  • Reduced the number of bodies required to complete the Beaulieu Hospital wards.

  • Fixed an issue where players who entered deep water would continue to experience water effects, including getting killed if they go too low in the map which could block players in Power Plant and Hospital.

Localization

  • Updated some objective strings to ensure that the English names of objective are shown in the compass and match the in-world English signage for the ward (for example, “Emergency Room” will be present in the compass and lobby signage regardless of language set).

UI & UX

  • Increased the range where objective markers would appear for bodies in Beaulieu Hospital.

  • Added objective markers to guide players to the wards in Beaulieu Hospital.

Server & Client Stability

  • Fixed an uncommon crash during extraction in Beaulieu Hospital.
