TL;DR: The game’s full release is delayed to 2026, hopefully May or June, will confirm closer to the release date. As Gabe Newell said, “Late is just for a little while, suck is forever,” and I think we’d all rather it didn’t suck.
Arcadie: Cold Lands will unfortunately not release in 2025.
The choice was simple; either do a rush job of it and release something I would not be proud of and disappoint most of you, or keep working at my current pace, and delay the release.
I opted for the latter, and I think most of us can agree that it's the better choice.
I’m now hoping, and planning for an early 2026 release.

What's Working Now:
Full island persistence - Travel to an island, leave, return weeks later. Your colony remains exactly as you left it. Resources stockpiled, mana reserves intact, buildings standing. Only what you physically load onto your ship travels with you.
Ship cargo system - Different vessels, different capacities. Strategic choices about what goods matter most for your next destination.
Seamless transitions - The technical challenge of loading/unloading entire island states is solved.
What's Next: Two major additions: Port buildings and empire-wide foci access.
Ports will connect your islands through trade routes, allowing surplus resources to flow where they're needed most. But here's the game-changer for divine powers: each island has three foci—mystical locations that unlock spells. Soon you'll choose one primary focus per island to make that spell available across your entire empire.
Discover a powerful terraforming focus on one island? Unlock it, designate it as primary, and wield that power everywhere you go. Your spell arsenal grows with every island you explore and claim.
