Hi everyone!

First I want to say thank you to everyone who's played The Victor Initiative so far, I've seen a lot of positive reactions to the game and I'm so happy that you're enjoying it! Today I want to provide information on what's next for the game.

Roadmap

What does this mean?

This means that the next planned update is Chapter 5! This chapter will hopefully be releasing in December, and will feature a lot of new content for you to discover! Chapter 5 is shaping up to be the most complicate, most layered, and most story-driven chapter yet, and I cannot wait for you all to get your hands on it!

Parts?

Yes, Chapter 5 is split up into 2 parts. These should both hopefully launch simultaneously, and the chapter has been divided up in this way to account for A) a large tonal shift and B) to allow the game to unload the previous part! Both parts are going to be completely continuous, meaning no loading screens apart from the one between parts!!

When's Chapter 6 coming out?

To put it bluntly, it's too early to say.

Tabletop Tavern - Freljordsice

Greetings Adventurers!

The latest Tabletop Tavern demo update is here and it’s our biggest one yet.

This update transforms the battlefield with new biomes, faction-wide bonuses, signature hero units, and a new playable hero!

Whether you’re commanding the disciplined Iron Legion or the ruthless Raven Host, this update brings new ways to conquer the tabletop.

New Battlefield Biomes

Every fight now feels different with environments that shape your strategy.

Forests: +25% Missile Resistance and removes charge bonus.
Swamps: -75% Movement Speed and removes charge bonus.
River Crossings: Narrow chokepoints that force brutal head-on clashes.

Faction Bonuses

Each faction now has a unique passive effect that applies to both of its heroes, creating new ways to play.

Iron Legion – “Imperial Edict”

The first recruitment pack is free upon entering any town. Great for building momentum early.

Raven Host – “Elite Ravagers”

Sacking towns prestiges two random units. A bold, high-risk, high-reward playstyle for fearless commanders.

New Playable Hero

Freyja Stormweaver joins the tavern giving shieldmaidens +10 leadership and +4 Melee Defense! In true Viking fashion she also makes all her units immune to terror.

Signature Hero Units

Every hero now commands a unique Signature Unit that only appears in their campaign with a 10% chance of showing up in any card pack.

Edric Valeward (Iron Legion)Kriegesguard

Unstoppable warriors who heal 25% after each turn.

Rhydan Greythorne (Iron Legion)Deepwood Rangers

Elite archers who excel in forests and can deploy outside the normal deployment zone.

Bjorn Ironskull (Raven Host)Jomsvikings

Fearsome berserkers that tear through enemy infantry.

Freyja Stormweaver (Raven Host)Angels of Death

Valkyries on winged pegasi who sunder enemy armor with the new Emblazing trait.

New Unit

The Eisenmann, a new gunpowder unit for the Iron Legion, bring much needed armor-piercing firepower to the field!

Tutorial
Fixed bugs where the tutorial would sometimes not progress under certain conditions.

Showcase System
Improved overall stability and performance of the Showcase System.
Added a Preview feature for Game Masters to review showcased content before displaying it to players.

Localization
Fixed issues with Turkish characters not displaying correctly in certain areas.
Fantasy Survivors - Abmis

Hi all,

This is another update that brings a bunch of QoL changes:

  • The Loot descriptions in the Stash have been improved. Most of them that used to say "not dropped by any monsters" have been improved.

  • The mission "Beyond the Portal" used to say that you should only take Think Tank with you. This was fixed.

  • In the Stables you can now return your pet at any time, even while looking at other pets.

  • After levelling up all your equipment in-game, the Gravedigger can also be dropped, similar to the LockpicKs.

  • Icons were not highlighted by the mouse cursor, e.g. the marbles in Crystalize Marbles, Auras and the crystals in the Gemcutting screen. This was fixed.

  • A joining player will now be buffed for 5 seconds (100% damage absorb) after spawning. This is to help prevent a joining player from dying when spawning.

  • When giving Gerald a Gold Statue to unlock a random entry in the Bestiary, entries from existing maps will be unlocked first. This is to help complete these maps, to obtain their rewards.

  • Gerald can now also unlock Bestiary entries for Beneath the Tides.

  • Loadouts in the Character Selection screen should now display all Loadouts in it's dropdown, making it unnecessary to scroll down.

  • Lights were removed from Watcher monsters, since the game limits the number of visible lights, sometimes now showing the light around the player.

  • The number of Revives in-game are now displayed in white instead of yellow.

The Halloween event will end during this month, so be sure to unlock the pets and hats if you want them.

- Additional benefits for new players: there are a few simple tasks with additional information panels that can be completed for extra rewards. These tasks include creating a second deck, opening a card pack, upgrading some cards, etc.
- Counters are displayed on the battlefield indicating the number of cards in the graveyard and in the deck.
- Unity updated to fix a bug that caused memory leaks.

We’ve released a small patch addressing a few issues reported by you and observed by our team. We’re continuing to fix and improve things and some exciting updates are on the way. Stay tuned!

  • Navigation and pathfinding issues have been fixed.
  • Hooker enter/exit car problems have been resolved.
  • Typo corrections and translation fixes have been made. Please report if you notice any others.
  • New warning messages have been added in certain areas.
  • Access to profile and inventory is now available from the game start.
  • Some invisible walls have been fixed.
  • Club city entry and exit points have been adjusted.
  • Fixed the garage door opening/closing issue when selling stolen cars.

First of all, you are amazing!  

Thank you so much for your support, comments, and feedback. We were hoping for a good launch, but this kind of success still took us by surprise.  

To celebrate this milestone, we've released some shiny new goodies for your Steam profile in the Points Shop!  

We've been working hard to keep up the pace and fix all the issues you reported.  

Most of them should be gone in the latest update, and we truly hope your experience is now smoother and better than it was a week ago.

We're deeply sorry about the lost saves and we want to thank everyone who patiently helped us fix the issue and, in many cases, recover their saves.  

(Fortunately, the game automatically creates save backups, so almost everyone — except a few unlucky cases — was able to restore them.)  

We've learned a lot about Eastern languages and characters… next time, everything will go perfectly. Promise!  

Here’s a summary of the most notable improvements:  
     
  • Fixed three major bugs related to combat, saving (as mentioned above), and Level 24 (you could get stuck inside a room).  
  • Fixed a ton of minor bugs — nothing game-breaking, but some were definitely annoying.  
  • Adjusted the game balance in several levels and fights based on your feedback. Please keep sharing your thoughts and ideas — we read everything!  
  • Made the final boss fight in Level 29 (Lich Acerarek) easier and streamlined the level itself.  
  • Trololo (Level 26) is still very strong but no longer attacks twice in a row, so if he surprises you once, he won't instantly finish you off.  
  • Adjusted enemy spawn timing in Level 38: one of you managed to beat the level right after the first spawn, which caused a crash. Not anymore!  
  • You now have more time to choose your reply to Sheltor (yes, we heard you!).  
  • Arena fights and several enemies across various levels were slightly nerfed — just enough to make things fun, not frustrating.  
  • When the hero crafts or cooks, all NPCs and enemies will now pause to avoid awkward side effects.  

We’re aware of an issue with Steam Deck when using an external controller. We’re still working on it, but in the meantime, you can use this workaround:

Finally, a huge thank you to everyone who tested the beta versions and reported issues without leaving a negative review just because it was a technical bug.
